Dr. Elise Barnett, MD

Dr. Barnett is very nice, explained everything clearly and I would go to her again except: when I checked in I verified with the front desk that my insurance would be accepted. The receptionist said my insurance was good and she accepted my co-pay. To my dismay, I received a bill stating that it was self-pay and that I owed $310.03. I recommend the doctor but not the practice.

Had a 1.40 pm appointment and left at 2.15 before ever seeing the doctor. The front office was very sweet and nice. The doctor’s assistant however, never once greeted me or smiled. She haphazardly got my history without much care and was quickly in and out of the room. The office seemed to be busy and they seem to be seeing several patients at once. Furthermore, she returned to ask me if I am aware of the “self pay” option before we proceed? I guess she automatically assumed that I do not have insurance and should know about self-pay? This is despite my insurance information fully documented before ever making my appointment. I have been to several medical and specialists’ practices and never once had a nurse of all people ask me if I am aware of what I would be paying on my way out (or ensuring that I would be able to pay this amount). Highly awkward, prejudiced, and rude. Speaks volumes about the focus of this practice.

Dr Barnett has such a wonderful bed side manner. She takes her time with you. She tries to understand your concerns and is willing to dig deeper into what is really going on with you. They don't make doctors like her anymore. Other derm places try to rush you in and out....not Dr. Barnett, she is really there because she loves what she does and cares about the people she sees. Dr. Barnett is also awesome with children. Both my children see her. They feel comfortable under her care. She knows exactly how to talk to children and address their needs in a calm way. The office staff are all lovely!

Shocked to see a low rating after my experience there. The staff are all proficient, really excellent from my experience. Dr Barnett takes her time to determine what is necessary to get the best results. Everything is explained and carried out to her standard of excellence. I could not ask for a better Dermatologist.

What kind of gross practice is this that forces their customers to pay $5 to park and doesn’t validate them. That’s awful. First and last time to this place.

Dr. Barnett has treated myself and my family for years, helping us through some more serious/challenging health issues and also from a cosmetic standpoint. She truly cares about her patients and I highly recommend her.

Dr. Barnett knows her stuff. She is beyond caring and compassionate. I have been seeing her for the past several years and could not be happier. She also sees my children and is so great with them. She caught a melanoma on my leg and took care of me right away. You are in the best of hands with Dr. Barnett!!!

I have gone to Dr Barnett for several years - I followed her to Atlanta from Montgomery, AL. I now live in SC and she is still my dermatologist, for cosmetic and medical procedures. She listens, she cares, she makes reasonable recommendations…her procedures help you look like yourself, only a little better. I think she’s great!

I saw Dr Barnett about 5 months ago. I am very happy with my treatment for hair thinning. My hair is thick and healthy now!

I liked Dr Barnett her nurse went above and beyond to help me retrieve notes from an office 8 went to our of state. Even calling me on her day off. I recommend Dr Barnett and her nurse Jennifer I appreciate the time Jennifer spent helping as well as explaining the answers to my many questions.
