Hands and Heart
I cannot say enough great things about Dr. Potter and her team!! All of them, they listen carefully to your concerns, they are quick to react to your needs and they all put you first. I was told my another physician that I wasn't a good applicant for a DIEP flap surgery following my mastectomy. Disappointment had me seeking a second opinion and I am so grateful that I did. She did a phenomenal job on my DIEP flap!! The pre and post care was delivered with exceptional knowledge and support. I am beyond thankful for their support throughout this challenging journey.

Amazing experience
I’m truly surprised Dr. Potter has negative reviews. I had a breast reduction (E to B cup), a surgery I have wanted for almost 20 years, and my experience has been amazing. Dr. Potter came recommended from 4 different, in related people and every member of the staff have been amazing! The surgery went great, the recovery is going well, and everyone in the office, including Dr. Potter, have been so compassionate. I’m not trying to downplay anyone else’s experience, I’m just so surprised anyone had anything other than a stellar experience. This surgery has literally changed my life already and I cannot thank Dr. Potter and the clinic staff enough!

Hearing my in-law recount her sad experience with the cruel sense of humor and the unacceptable post-op issues sounded like something out of a horror movie.

I am blessed to have Dr. Potter for my micro surgeon, and her team as my advocates and care providers. Her entire staff is compassionate, efficient and knowledgeable. I am encouraged to call if I have any concerns, no matter how small. After a bilateral mastectomy, chemo and radiation... Dr. Potter completed my DIEP reconstruction. She is an artist with the body, so efficient that every step was planned. I am in awe of my results. I wish this path of recovery for every cancer patient. Her standards and expectations of everyone I came in contact with were very high, including the hospital staff.

In August 2018 I was diagnosed with invasive lobular carcinoma. Dr. Potter has been an integral and crucial part of my team of doctors through my cancer journey. She performed the PAP flap procedure for my reconstruction surgery and also participated in my double mastectomy a year earlier with Dr. Julie Sprunt. Dr. Potter is an incredibly skilled, confident and compassionate surgeon, and is backed up by her all-star team. Her “bedside manner” is phenomenal. She made me feel like I was part of her family. I could not be happier with the results of my reconstruction and give Dr. Potter the highest recommendation. She is a real treasure!

Awful....she did a breast reduction and my breasts were still not symmetrical afterward, not to mention that she doesn’t even do liposuction on the sides so now it looks like my breasts have breasts! I did a lot of research prior to my surgery and every cosmetic surgeon I found does lipo to make sure that your breasts look decent after surgery, so I didn’t even think to ask if that was part of the surgery. I thought it was more important to have a female surgeon who specialized in breasts (she’s NOT a cosmetic surgeon, but I have a high family history of breast cancer) but after this experience I feel should’ve chosen someone else. At my follow up appointment, she was incredibly rude to me, telling me that I should consider myself lucky she performed surgery on me in the first place, and that my questions were why she prefers to only deal with cancer patients. If you want to look bad and be feel completely unimportant, pick Elisabeth Potter, MD.

I would highly recommend Dr. Potter to handle your mastectomy reconstruction surgery. Not only is she an expert at what she does, she will make sure you are being treated as if you were her sister. The entire staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. They are also very accessible any time you need them. You are in good hands with this team.

Dr. Potter only wants you to pay with cash and not use insurance. She said if I used insurance for a breast reduction the minimum amount required by insurance to be removed from each breast is 500 grams (this is accurate), but she guessed my breasts weighed 600 grams each (very false) and that would leave me with 100 gram breasts which equals a very small A cup and then I’d be highly prone to nipple death (true if that was my actual starting breast weight). I was an F cup at the time of my appointment. I had the surgery done by another doctor in October and he removed 1,060 grams from one breast and 1,050 grams from the other for a total of 2110 grams = 4.65 pounds. AND I’m a C cup now. He removed more weight from each breast than what Dr. Potter even thought each of my breasts weighed! I have a lot more (about 2 pages worth) to say about how bad my appointment with her was, but there's not enough room here so I had to trim it down. My advice is look for another doctor.

Dr potter selects only the perfect patients for diep. She would rather not take risks that could affect her record, than help patients. She also prefers to do only diep. She is very cruel when she doesn't want you as a patient. Not straight forward, but plain cruel.

Dr. Potter listens and is attentive to your concerns. She is personable, professional, and will put your mind at rest! Her consultation was personalized, thorough, and informative. After examining me and evaluating options, Dr. Potter and I developed a surgical strategy that was conservative in approach, yet one that would provide the best possible outcome for me. She explained everything with great care and detail, and is not fazed by questions.

Dr. Elizabeth Potter is a fantastic Plastic Surgeon and I highly recommend her if you are researching options for breast reconstruction. From my first consultation to my post surgery visits, I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Potter and her team of RN's, medical assistants and office staff. Dr. Potter is an experienced surgeon who is also thoughtful, patient, professional and positive. I am six weeks post-op from a prophylactic bi-lateral mastectomy with DIEP Flap reconstruction. Thank You!

Truly amazing person. She listens to all concerns, does not rush through her appointments, and gives detailed explanation . She advises on what she feels will be the best end result, but also gives other options with various price points. Her primary goal is correcting the patients primary concern; while creating an esthetically appeasing result. She was upfront about concerns with insurance coverage for my procedure and would not schedule my procedure until coverage was confirmed.

After being diagnosed with breast cancer and needing a double mastectomy Dr. Potter did the reconstructive procedure with the DIEP flap. All I can saw she is an artist in creating new breasts that look very natural. I would highly recommend her to anyone needing this procedure or for any type surgery that she does. All her staff are awesome!

I am so happy and thankful that I found Dr Potter. I underwent my breast cancer treatment in Seattle - GREAT DOCS! We were moving to the Austin area, so I decided to have my DIEP Flap's done here. I immediately knew she was the surgeon for me. The fact that at the time of my surgery she had done over 500 of this procedure (making her total surgery time less than 1/2 the duration of any other surgeon I had seen) coupled with the way she cares about people...obvious choice. Very happy!

I don't recommend Dr E. Potter. In 11/15 I had symmetrical surgery on my right breast following breast cancer in left breast. Even the day of the procedure while she was marking me up Dr. Potter assured me everything would be covered by ins. because of the breast cancer. It wasn't until after the procedure that I learned she had filed the insurance with a coding error, elective cosmetic breast reduction. I notified her office of the error but she still has not made it right.
