Considering, thoughtful, empathic!
I cannot speak highly enough about Dr. Gennis and the incredible care she provided for my 7 year old daughter on two different occasions. My daughter broke her wrist in 2023 and her ankle in 2024. Dr. Gennis’s first priority was to make my daughter feel comfortable and taken care of, which helped my daughter trust Dr. Gennis. On both occasions Dr. Gennis took the time to thoroughly explain my daughter’s fractures, showing us where they took place, what the options for care are, and setting realistic expectations of what the recovery looked like, ensuring that both my daughter and I felt confident and informed. The staff in her office was equally amazing, making sure I had the necessary documents for my daughters school, sending them immediately. Thanks to Dr. Gennis’s expertise and care, my daughter is back on her feet—and using her hands—without any limitations. We are beyond grateful for the exceptional care!

Rude and Arrogant
My experience with Dr Gennis is one of the worst interactions I’ve had with anyone in the medical field. She is rude, arrogant and dismissive. She has limited curiosity in getting to the root of the problem, instead preferring to impose a formulaic rubric, and then belittling the patient should they question her or propose alternative approaches. She got particularly annoyed when, as the patient, I demonstrated a knowledge of anatomy and the various joint manipulation tests that would yield specific and helpful information. Her attitude was hostile and defensive: basically, ‘I’m the expert doctor and you’re the dumb patient, so shut up and obey.” I have 2 degrees from the Ivy League and a close family member who teaches doctors. I have never been treated with such disrespect by a doctor this rude and arrogant. One can only surmise that Dr Gennis either had a one-off very bad day, or this is her typical behavior pattern. If the latter, best seek help from someone more compassionate.

Stay away
Worst experience ever. Waited almost 1.5 hrs to be seen. Elisabeth R. Gennis, MD came in, spoke to me less than 5 mins. Asked if I want PT or exercise. Left. Didn't even look at the xrays they insisted on doing. 2 other people came in with a packet of paper and an exercise band. I asked if they're going to show me the exercise. They told me to read. Stay away from this doctor.

Dr. Gennis is the most professional doctor I have ever met. She is kind and patient but most importantly she knows what she’s doing. I had ankle surgery and she explains everything well from what to expect pre-op to post op and rehabilitation. She puts you at ease. As a registered nurse myself I would 100% recommend her to anyone in need of orthopedic surgery.

Wrist surgery
Dr gennis knew what she was doing. She explained everything to be easily understood. She cared and spoke with confidence every step of my journey. She surgically repaired my wrist and dislocation after my first doctor didn’t care and didn’t X-ray my injury. She did X-rays for every visit to monitor my progress. I am very pleased with the results and happy to have had dr gennis as my surgeon
