Dr. Eliana Schenk, MD

I have not seen Dr. Schenk (Berger) in over 10 years but, she was so arrogant and inept with me as a patient, I regularly visit to see if any improvement has been seen by others. It appears not and Dr. Shenck still exhibits the poor qualities I posted in my previous reviews that I once again must repeat— this doctor is rude, dismissive and treats her patients as if they are beneath her. Her attitude is “my way or get off my bus!” Walk away and find someone better.

I was always treated as if I was a precious jewel. She has a good heart not arrogant in her studus as a very compassionate and competent specialist

I can't thank Dr Eliana Berger enough. She has given me outstanding care for the last several years. She has given me the best care, has great bedside manners and is truly professional. She is always on top of tests, treatments is always concerned about my health. I will miss her greatly due to Lakeside Medical Group no longer providing Endocrinology Services.

Dr. Berger has been my endocrinologist for the last several years and she has helped me so much with my thyroid issues and helping me figure out the other hormonal issues that have been affecting my body. She is someone who wants to help you figure out the root causes and gives you the best care. Sometimes, it’s really hard to find doctors who genuinely cares but I assure you, she is one of them. Would highly recommend!

I was referred to her since I first got diagnosed with type one diabetes and since the first day I met her i like Dr. Berger a lot. She is very caring,nice, sweet, understanding, motivates you, and you can tell she cares about her patients and loves her career. She answers your questions and explains very well. I adore Dr. Berger and like her so much.

Dr. Berger is hands down one of the worst doctors I have ever had. I had multiple appointments with her where I waited over and hour and a half to be seen. She was always rude and dismissive of me and just overall awful to be around. She put me on some very very high doses of medications that I was skeptical of, and I have since switched to a new doctor who was very surprised I was able to be on such a high dose of medication for so long. Now working to try and balance things out after being neglected by Dr. Berger.

Very dry and has a big time attitude. As in big time!

She is always late. She doesnt care about her patients at all, has no manners.

Well, judging by all of the lovely reviews, I can see I made the right decision nearly 10 years ago to dump this doctor. All of the complaints are true. Her staff was no better. Refilling a routine prescription? Forget it. Her staff behaves like they don't trust you. And the waiting room? People everywhere. Just a bad experience overall and it never improved, so I switched to a much better doctor. I'm not big on doing reviews but in this case I wish I knew this information before going.

Horrible bedside manner. Always late & with an attitude. I always take the first appt early in the morning at 8 am & she doesn't stroll in until 8:45/9am. She's been the same since day one. I've been with her for over a year, even after reading all the reviews online b/c I didn't want to go through the hassle of switching docs & I kept thinking things will get better but I'm at my wits end. I'm switching around my primary & gyno docs just to avoid going back to her.

I truly believe Dr. Berger chose the wrong profession. Her manner is one of hubris, and she lacks any empathy for the patient and passion for the science of treating thyroiditis. A wealth of knowledge exists today, published by a wide variety of hospitals, doctors and educated, long-term thyroid patients, which she outright dismisses. She is an endocrinologist who is mired in the classic trap,' only TSH and T4 levels matter', and such a view is known by many in medicine now to be wrong.

She has the worst bedside manner. She is condescending and not comforting at all. She needs to work on her social skills if she wants her patients to continue going to her.

Wow. This a new kind of “worst” I don’t know how this doctor is able to cure anyone at all, if her staff doesn’t send authorizations, review the charts (until you make them read it), or follow up in results of your labwork unless you show up in person and then call a few more times after that. This is the office where one dies trying to get better. Good luck doc!

Worst doctor ever!!! Please save your time and nerves and avoid her in any possible way! I waited for an hour today to see her for 5 minutes only, walked in and out of the room and not even giving you a chance to really explain the problem! She is the worst and most annoying person I've ever met in my entire life, who clearly doesn't care at all about her patients!! Please please DO NOT visit her, you will be disappointed for the rest of your life, find another endocrinologist!!!

I am very disappointed with this doctor as she has absolutely no regard for her patients. My daughter who is in need of ongoing patches for her medical condition was left without refills for a month because the doctor was on a vacation and had noted in the file that my daughter needed to see another specialist. Well no referrals were made, pcp was not notified and no follow up with my daughter was made who is now suffering from terrible hot flashes because of lack of hormones. Terrible...

I can only say Good luck if you have an appointment with this doctor because exactly the day prior to your appointment someone from office always calls you and reschedules you. AND THIS HAPPENs ALL THE TIME.

Seeing Dr. Berger was by far the worst experience I've had with a Doctor and staff in my life. Every time I needed to renew my prescription it took 2-3 weeks of frustrating and stressful calls between the doctor's office, pharmacy and my insurance. The office staff was incredibly rude and unhelpful. I told the Dr. about this problem multiple times, but she always blamed the pharmacy. Now I have a new Dr., same pharmacy and have been getting my same prescription monthly with no problem.

Dr. Eliana Burger is my son'a doctor, and I am glad happy with her. Thank you Dr. Burger for caring for my son. You're the Best!

Dr. Berger is a very knowledgeable Physician. She helped treat my mother, who had thyroid cancer. She was very informative and ensured my mom was well taken care of.

Dr. Berger is knowledgeable and cares deeply about her patients. While she may not be cuddly, who cares? She's an excellent doctor, and you'll be lucky to be her patient.
