Neuropathy
I had seen multiple doctors, specialists and the Mayo Clinic. It wasn't until my visit with Dr. Culcea that he was able to diagnose my small fiber peripheral neuropathy with a simple skin biopsy. My neuropathy is under control thanks to him.

An excellent Neurologist
Dr. Culcea is smart, listens, and is intellectually curious. The last one has been surprisingly rare to find, and I've seen Neuros across the country (including Mayo). Most are condescending and immediately assume there is one textbook treatment for whatever they assume you have in a 15 minute visit where they don't even listen to you. Not Dr. Culcea. He has worked with me through a rare nerve disease, listened, tried different treatments, and sought out advice from others. He is smart, well trained, curious, and knows his limits, and that makes him the best Neuro I've found.

Wonderful! After months of misdiagnosis and downright mistreatment from another neurologist in town, Dr. Culcea took on my case and diagnosed it within a month. I am now receiving appropriate treatment and feel better than I have in a year.

Knows nothing and can be very mean and aggressive. Shows no interest in actually wanting to help patients figure out what is wrong and how to fix it..TERRIBLE "physician"-STAY AWAY!!!

I went in for numbness and muscle weakness in my hand and leg and this neurologist's only answer was to loosen my belt and switch my meds. He had a bad attitude and didn't do the test I was referred to him to have done. I'll be looking at contacting my insurance company and filing a complaint against this doctor.

Treated me for 1 year with prednisone, diagnosed me with CIDP, prescribed "antibody infusion". Then said I am a nonconforming patient (whatever that means) and discontinued care. The infusion trearment was subsequently abandoned by my new doctor. The University of Washington Medical Center disagrees with his diagnosis and treatment. STAY AWAY!

Dr. Culcea is very knowledgeable and takes the time to listen. He diagnosed me with a rare condition that several other neurologists missed. He changed my life. Thank you, Dr. Culcea for being one of the few doctors left that cares about his patients.

Dr. Culcea was rude and overbearing and never helped me. I saw him for migraines but when I couldn't tolerate the toxic medication and didn't want to try botox, he would yell at me, "I can't help you, I can't help you". Even my husband, who went with me, was shocked at his behavior. He never told me that many people who suffer with migraines also have hypersensitivity to medications, he never told me about occipital nerve or sphenopalatine ganglion nerve blocks. He doesn't listen.
