Dr. Eleonora Szmuk, MD

Dr. Szmuk is a wonderful listener and encourager, and she has helped me tremendously! She has a real heart for her clients, and I am always comfortable when I am visiting with her—I leave her office with sense of peace. I am so thankful for the friend who referred me to her!

Dr Szmuk low key saved my life from crushing depression when I was in school, and again 10 years later after my son died (my wife actually tracked her down for me the second time). I’m not a therapy kind of person, and she would probably be the first to agree that I’m reluctant to take medications. Despite this, she seemed to know exactly what I was thinking and feeling, almost always better than I do myself. I felt comfortable talking with her, and for some reason I trusted her to help me work through problems when I trusted no one else. As a scientist, engineer, and now physician myself, I can still not understand 1% of how she does what she does. But she’ll be my person as long as she’s practicing. If you’re on the fence about therapy or medications, or as I have been, reluctant to pursue either, Dr Szmuk has my highest level of recommendation.

I have referred multiple friends to Dr Szmuk. She is kind, frank but gentle, and very competent and knowledgeable regarding medications. She has gently and compassionately guided me through some deep valleys.
