Dr. Elena Rodriguez, DO

This is the second review I have wrote about Dr. Rodriguez- she is amazing. I had a morning appointment and i was struggling about my daughter's diabetes. She took extra time with me, to give me encouragement about my daughter! She listens to concerns and pushes for health! I am so thankful for a doctor that cares! 100% recommended

Dr. Elena Rodriguez is the best primary care doctor I have ever had. She has qualities that I could make an endless list of, but let me start with the basics. She is so respectful of her patients. I am always treated with love and care and great value. As a now elderly woman it is often times I find myself being treated with this unseen attitude of non consequence. That never happens with Dr. Rodrigues, never! I am never dehumanized or treated as any less of great value and importance as a human being. I have the lowest type of insurance as a medicaid and medicare patient. Yet she accepts me as an equal human being, and not a dollar sign. Her staff has nothing but love and encouragement and compassion for each of her patients. Excellent Doctor and excellent staff.

On Monday I called the office requesting lab orders for suspected anemia and was set up for a telehealth appointment the following afternoon. Labs were ordered for Wednesday and I received a report from the lab on Thursday indicating severely low levels of iron and hemoglobin. When I called the office I was informed that Dr. Rodriguez was out of town and there was no coverage in her absence. The following morning I went to the ER where I was admitted, and given a blood transfusion. In all I received 3 pints of blood and 3 IV bags of iron dextran over the span of 3 days. My hemoglobin had been dangerously low and nobody from the office ever contacted me with referrals or inquiries about my health.

Dr. Rodriguez ordered blood tests for me. Medicare denied the tests because the her office used the wrong medicare code. Dr. Rodriguez’s office told me to call my insurance to correct the problem, even though it was their mistake. I told them that they needed to look into it because it was their mistake. They told me they’d look into it and call me back, but they never did. I had a telehealth appointment scheduled with Dr. Rodriguez two days later. Her office sent me a link to join the online video meeting an hour before the appointment. I joined the meeting before the start time, and I stayed online for over an hour. Dr. Rodriguez never joined the meeting. I called Dr. Rodriguez’s office and left a message asking what had happened. No one returned my call.

Although it has been all Telehealth visits I think dr. Rodriguez is great. She has gotten my blood sugar levels down to where they should be as well as my blood pressure. She's always very concerned and has a lot of compassion. I look forward to my next visit with her

The best Dr. I have ever been a patient of. She is like a guardian angel. She finds things that other doctors miss or tell me not to worry about it. I had an aneurysm after having a heart procedure. She spend as much time as a patient needs and is always on top of things. I don't need 6 specialists, Dr Rodriguez takes it on herself to do whatever needs to be done
