The best
I've been seeing Dr. Nirenberg 2020. I feel that she has given me the best care I've had with any doctor I've seen. She takes her time, she thorough and tries to get at the root cause, not just the problem. I would recommend to Dr. Nirenberg to everyone I care about.

Trusting Doctor
I was very sick a in the hospital at the end of 2021. I made it out of the hospital in March of 2022. I needed a new doctor and DR Nirenberg was recommended to me. After my long hospital stay I was on 14 different medications and had never taken anything prior to being sick. My goal I told her was to get off my meds while I recovered. She agreed and one by one we made it happen. Thanks to Dr Nirenberg I’m Med free for the past year and a half. She also recommended some great vitamins that truly have been beneficial to my recovery. I have so much trust in her that my mom of 76 is seeing her. A remarkable Doctor that changed my life.

Never once helped
She has chosen treatments for me that have never worked, so my symptoms sometimes worsened. ANY other doctor or NP is better than this doctor. Additionally, she is brusque and rude.

I am extremely grateful to have found Dr. Nirenberg. She was recommended to me by a friend two years ago, and I appreciate that she is an intelligent, kind, patient, and caring physician who treats health issues holistically, rather than simply treating the symptoms with prescription drugs.

Misdiagnosed my mom's cancer
Dr. Nirenberg replaced my mom's GP (that she loved) at Riverside, so my mom just kept going anyway. She had been generally dismissive about things, and my mom remarked that once covid hit Dr. Nirenberg would barely even touch you during an appointment. She went in February for persistent back, leg and hip pain. My mom is 80 but no bloodwork was ordered (or if it was it wasn't followed up on) and the doctor sent her for physical therapy for the pain and wouldn't do anything further when my mom called. The pain persisted and I finally convinced her to find a new doctor. He immediately ordered a battery of tests and diagnosed her with metastatic breast cancer. She is now receiving treatment but we wasted a month and a half.

I have been a patient of this office for 15 years. Unbeknownst to me I had an outstanding bill for a measly $50. I would have gladly paid it. Instead, Riverside Medical Group reported this to credit reporting agencies. They wanted to harm me financially. Well done Riverside Medical Group. I am no longer a patient of your office.

I have been a long time patient and like Dr. Nirenberg. But under the new management (Riverside) communication with patients is terrible. There is no patient portal or website for communicating with your doctor or getting messages or accessing your records - the practice used to have that when affiliated with Advocare. Today I went to an appointment only to be told that the doctor was not in the office. Apparently, she had to cancel my appointment and tne front desk claims that I had been notified by phone but that did not happen. I checked my phone records and someone did call my house but no-one talked to them and they did not leave a message. I am disappointed that a quality practice has fallen down so badly under the Riverside Medical management system. I hope they will change companies.

She's strange. You go in for a certain reason and she'll spend most of the time talking about your weight. She once told me "gluten in USA is bad ; but gluten in Italy is better. But since you're in the USA you need to follow the paleo diet." Huh? Very bizarre. I guess she was fairly nice but I didn't feel like she really wanted to be a traditional doctor. She wants to be holistic but not call herself holistic since that would distance patients.

Dr. Nirenberg takes great care to support her patients. She treats them with respect, patience, and listens with great care when they share information with her. She is very caring and kind. We can usually get to see her within a day or two, though the other docs at her practice are also good. She will work WITH you to help you find your greatest level of health, not just cure a sickness or problem. All in all, this doctor is fantastic if you want more than just a pill to “fix” everything.

Dr. Nirenberg is an excellent listener and she offers more than the usual band-aids for problems. If you prefer not to have a prescription she will help you find alternatives, and if you need the prescription she will be sure you understand why. I have recommended her to all of my friends after another friend recommended her to me. It is not hard to understand why all my friends and even my mother in law now see her!
