To the point and helpful— especially for at 1am! Got info and all stuff I needed in 10 minutes and was out! She’s really nice!!

This was the worst experience I’ve ever had with a physician. She was very condescending and dismissive. She tried to talk over me the entire time and kept telling me what is and is not diagnosable via telemedicine. This woman should not hat have any interactions with regards to public health. disgusting.

Worst experience, waste of time and money! I am out of town and have a sinus infection, and my ears are plugged and hurt, too! We won’t be heading home for another week, so I tried Teledoc to discuss my symptoms and issues, and to hopefully start an antibiotic, which is what I’ve been treated with before for sinus and ear infections. Dr. Lai said that since I had not had the symptoms for at least 10 days with an accompanying fever, it was only viral and nothing she could do but recommend OTC decongestants. I asked if the solution was really to expect me to suffer for an additional three days and hope for a fever, or to find a local out-of-network clinic. She simply told me to get feeling better and nothing more she could do. I have other friends and family members who have used Teledoc for similar symptoms lasting as long as mine and were given an antibiotic from a doctor actually willing to listen. The issue is clearly Dr. Lai and not Teledoc.

Dr. Lai demonstrated good listening and attentive focus. She knew what information she wanted to know, and helped me understand what she wanted to see (video). For steps that were harder due to swelling, she provided patience and time.I would feel comfortable having her for another remote appointment.

Great listener will assist you with whatever your needs are. She will help you get on the right track with your health issues. ??

Unfortunately, this was my second time getting Dr. Lai for a Teladoc call. I previously reviewed her on 8/22/23. I had nothing positive to say about her then - and have nothing positive to say about her now. She is very unpleasant, makes it obvious that she’s irritated by your concerns / questions, and is very abrupt. The only answer she will give you is a patronizing, “follow up with your own doctor”. As I said in my previous review - if I was able to reach my doctor, I wouldn’t be calling Teladoc. I understand the physicians on Teladoc are limited in what they can and can’t do - but both times I’ve had very basic issues that any health care provider should have been able to easily address. Thankfully, Google exists - and provided more information and answers than Dr. Lai did.

Doctor was rude and dismissive. Came in running and breathing really hard as if rushing from another appointment. Wasn't personable at all. I was rushed and my medical concerns dismissed despite blood work from a previous doctor and previous hospital visits saying I had high cholesterol, low WBC, low Vitamin D, and 2 herniated discs - she literally made me PROVE I had herniated discs despite the previous records showing the diagnosis - she made me feel like a liar! When asking for a recent MRI she said no because I already had one - which was 5 years ago! She didn't even look at the records- I had to show her these things using my own MyChart acc. She never followed through with family history or other questions like what's causing my low WBC - she rushed through questions and switched to the next topic. I left feeling like something on the bottom of someone's shoe. I never had my concerns addressed properly - they were all dismissed and now I have to find another doctor!

I have had several amazing visits with Dr. Lai. She was recommended to me by three friends of mine. She is extremely professional, a great listener and very compassionate. Dr. Lai cured an embarrassing skin condition that I have suffered from for over five years. She also diagnosis an appendix infection that someone missed. I feel very lucky to have Dr. Lai as my doctor. And to the question about recommending Dr. Lai to my family and friend, I already have. My parents and my best friend are her patients now. Dr. Lai is the best!

This was the most transactional doctors appointment I have ever had. I was with Dr. Lai for not even five minutes and was treated with zero care, thoughtfulness or thoroughness. Dr. Lai was attempting to shuffle through as many patients as possible and I was left disgusted with her attitude towards treatment and patient care.
