Dr. Effie Tsomos, MD

Dr. Tsomos is a caring doctor that combines her medical knowledge with empathy. She ensures you that she is listening to you and takes the time to explain the diagnoses and treatments necessary. I would highly recommend her, she is worth the wait.

I haven't been to this doctor, but wouldn't after the experience I just had with the front of office staff. If Dr. Tsomos actually cared about her patients, she would clean up her front of house, or give them some training in how to speak to people.

Waited an hour to go into examination room then needed blood work and was suppose to wait until young woman who was suppose to do my bloodwork ate her lunch

Last time I saw the doctor she wanted me back in 3 months. At the front desk nobody was there so no appointment. I phoned them yesterday and was told by answering service nobody there to make the appointments.

Dr. Tsomos was understanding and communicated efficiently and clearly, but her office is lacking both professionalism and empathy. The week of my dad’s new patient appointment, they cancelled with no dates offered to reschedule. Nine days after his cancelled appointment, he had an urgent endocrinologic issue for which I was told he could be squeezed in a month later. When I reiterated the urgency of the situation, I was given attitude about how difficult it is to get a new patient appointment. You’re the one who put us in this situation when YOU cancelled his appointment. And, yes, I do know how difficult it is to get a new patient appointment. Thanks.
