As a rheumatologist, Dr. Tackey should do a thorough physical exam when a patient is referred to him with joint pain in many places by another medical professional. Dr. Tackey never did a physical exam. He simply ordered lab tests based on what I told him. Based on the lab results, at the second appointment he Prescribed a vitamin for 4 months and said we’ll see what happens with that. So in the first two appointments Dr. Tackey never touched a single joint. When the four months were almost up and the pain just kept increasing I decided to go to another rheumatologist while on vacation. That rheumatologist did palpate my joints, look at my skin, finger nails, everything. As a result, I got a diagnosis. If Dr.Tackey would have just done a physical exam 4 months earlier, he would have seen the same thing as all of the signs and symptoms were present from the first visit. Run as fast as you can to a doctor that is not afraid to do a physical exam. Dr. Tackey is in Dover, DE now. If you need a rheumatologist in Dover, DE try his colleague and owner/founder of the practice Dr. Hosny.

I did not think Dr. Tackey was interested in anything I said. He diagnosed me without even examining me. I contacted my PCP to have an x-ray to confirm the diagnosis. The x-ray did not confirm the diagnosis, I contacted the office to speak with the doctor. I will update my review as soon as I hear back from the office.

Dr. Tackey is great. He listens to his patients. His nurse Susan is also great she has been a nurse for quite a long time and cares for her patients. They both make a great team. I also know the other nurses there are good but haven’t dealt with them personally. I believe you can trust him he explains things to you were you can understand it.timely appointments.

Treated me like a child and challenged everything I said. Arrogant, dismissive almost annoyed that I was in the office. I got the distinct impression that he felt my problem were either not real. This was such a bad experience I delayed getting treatment because I thought I was crazy. Trust your gut, I found another provider who listened provided a diagnosis and I am thankful.

Very disappointed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He diagnosed exactly what a PCP would diagnose. The x- ray was clear. Go to rheumatology.... They are the ones who sent me to rheumatology. The pain the next day was worse., yet he continued with reference to rheumatology. I have dealt this pain since my teens. He is supposed to be a rheumatologist!!! Very disappointed! My flight for pain care continues until this cyle of pain breaks. It will break!!!!

When I went in to see Dr Tackey he took the time to listen to me and hear about all the problems I was having. He then told me to forget everything I'd ever been told and we were going to start over and get to the bottom of the problem and we did!!!!

I was overcharged for a 20 minute office visit. Dr. Tackey did not perform an examination on me for swelling and joint inflammation. All he did was to give me a small injection of steroids in my left arm. I asked him is he was going to exam my joints for inflammation and stiffness. He replied, "It was not necessary because he had it all there on paper." This is the worst Doctor care I have ever had in all my life. Is this man really a Doctor?

Dr. Tackey was the first doctor to diagnose my RA after I suffered for many years. He is knowledgeable, professional and obviously competent. But, also very kind, sympathetic and concerned about my health. He spends the time necessary to make sure I understand my treatment plan and he listens to me and speaks to my questions in an understandable way without being condescending.
