Knowledge, Satisfaction, Kindness and Professional
Dr. O'Mara has been our Orthopedic Physician for many years. A few years ago we moved to Tennessee and I have made an Appointment with him when I needed to be seen while we were visiting in Maryland at the time. I will continue to do so. I do not trust easily but we trust him 100%.fd

Wonderful Care
Dr. O’Mara was wonderful! My son had two collarbone surgeries within a year. Dr. O’Mara was very knowledgeable. He explained all our options and was very patient with all my questions. He was very accessible for any problems. He did a wonderful job on the collarbone repairs.

Rotator cuff surgery needed after fall and dislocation. Text book surgery and recovery. Followed Dr. O'Mara's instructions and recovery progressed just like he said. No complaints. Office staff pleasant and accommodating. Hospital stay was short and sweet. I was home for lunch.

He doesn’t take the time to listen to you, rushes the appointment and is very arrogant!! My husband was better off before he done meatball orthopedic surgery. I wouldn’t recommend Dr. O’Mara to empty a bed pan!!!

Had Acromioplasty (shoulder surgery) with Dr. O'Mara and he was terrific. This was somewhat of an optional surgery and Dr. O'Mara was not pushy at all in trying to pressure me one way or the other as far as surgery or not. He carefully explained all the information, suggested PT first in an effort to avoid the surgery, but ultimately I chose to have the surgery. The day of surgery at Upper Chesapeake ran very smoothly and everyone involved did a great job making me feel comfortable and at ease (this was the first surgery I'd have ever had to include first time under anesthesia so was very nervous). I'm nearly 4 months removed from the surgery and feel nearly 100%. I would definitely recommend Dr. O'Mara for Orthopedic surgery.

I was so pleased to work with a group of great people. Dr. Omara was kind and did a great job because I am better, thanks to his great surgical skills. And he has the best secretary ever. My company required tons of paper work constantly and Chantell was always right on it , responding immediately so I could continue getting paid while I was off. I would highly recommend this group of great people to anyone I can. Thank you so much for making me function proper again

Hi Dr. O"Mara. My name is John Pendill. You performed shoulder surgery on me on June 19, 2018. You and your whole staff were nothing but excellent. Sorry the review is so late. Misplaced the card. You and Dr. Bassi were wonderful in your diagnoses, surgery and follow-up care. Your nurses and office staff were pleasant and most helpful. From beginning to end an excellent experience. I continue to improve daily. Thanks for all you did for me.

My Wife, Rosalie Hicks has 2 Knee Total Replacement, one last year & the other this Feb/2018.. We are SO VERY HAPPY with Dr. O'Mara & his gentle & humble spirit, as well as his caring bed side manor. He did both operations & I would refer him to ANYONE that needs this type of operation & we are happy to keep in touch with him over the years ahead. IF I COULD, I would gladly give him a raise!! THANK-YOU Dr. O'Mara for your well job done... Sincerely .....Daniel & Rosalie

Gave me a good sense of what was needed (the problems affecting my knee) how and what was needed to correct the problem (the operation) and what the recovery time and experience (rehab-physical therapy) would be like. Simple direct answers.

Absolutely one of the worst experiences that I have ever had at a doctors office. Appointment was at 10am was to arrive by 9:45. I arrived at 9:30. Took care of all the paper work and copay. At 11:05 I walked out having not seen the doctor yet!!!! This just shows me that he does not care and does not value his patients time at all.

Dr. O’Mara performed bilateral Total Knee Replacements (TKRs) for me in April 2017. He was personable and direct in the first visit; clear that both knees needed attention. I waited 5 years longer that I should have. Dr. O’Mara was appropriately cautious & discouraging of me dong both knees on the same day. But I convinced him that bilateral TKR was right for me. I went to his office 2 weeks following surgery only using a cane; and golfing by July 2017. I Highly recommend Dr. O’Mara.
