My father was dying from ALS. Took dad to see his ALS dr and he put dad on hospice care with morphine. This Dr Metzger/NP felt that my dad does not need hospice at this time. He refused to give dad any medicine including morphine to make him comfortable, because it would hasten his death. My dad was dying and he was way past the point of keeping him alive. Dad died 2 days later after the way Metzger treated my dad saying he doesn't need hospice care. I watched my dad die and it wasn't pleasant.
