He done great as far as my gallbladder surgery but being sent home with absolutely nothing to control the pain after n not returning phone calls with after hours really disappointed me, my friends, n family as they have been watching me suffer. All after in recovery had a rude nurse saying such hateful things which I guess she thought I wouldn’t remember. Laying crying in pain while ur dr bothers to not care that ur suffering is awful!

Dr. McWhirt performed emergency surgery on my perforated stomach. He is an awesome doctor! I gave him four stars instead of five because he was not very concerned about how I was going to control pain at home after a major surgery. 22 staples up my abdomen, and i received nine pain pills. If I stretched them out, that would be 3 days post op. I think that type of surgery would justify prescribing a little more. I'm not an addict. I don't even like taking them, but when you're in severe pain, your body concentrates more on that than actually healing.

The only doctor that I will see in Dyersburg, he is so amazing at what he does and makes you feel safe and comfortable about surgery.
