Great Procedure, great communication!
After my Penuma procedure, I couldn’t have been a happier patient. Communication was great as well!

Couldn't ask for a better specialist. Some reviewer somewhere carped about being kept waiting too long, which is one of my pet peeves. But Karpman is well worth the wait. I am 76 years of age and have seen a lot of physicians during those years. He is among the top three, and I don't remember the names of the other two. Whatever your problem "down there," this is the doc to see.

God I wish there were negative stars!! Always at least 1 hour late. Shamed my husband into an operation he did not need. My husband now has to go to New York to fix what karpman ruined. NextARROGANT!!!!! His appts after waiting are 5-7 min long. He explains nothing! When he approached me after my husbands unwanted operation you would think the dr. Attitude would be to tell me how my husbandis.? NO!!! Never did. He whipped out his cell and said “I do awesome work” flipping through pictures. When I started to go to the appts did his shaming really guiltily to my husband. This guy should be AVOIDED. If I could show you photos I would. Mangled is the only word that describes. We are out the cash to fly to New York during pandemic- because there are things popping out of husbands that cannot be held off any longer. This is 2.5 years after surgery. We have been to Stanford- uc and the only person who even remotely knew what was going on is in NEW YORK. Stay far away from this guy. Run.

AVOID this doctor. Terrible attitude, very arrogant, unprofessional and disrespectful. He will make you wait 1 hour 45 minutes then tell you that it's your fault because you didn't call ahead to inquire about the wait time for your scheduled appointment. A simple apology, explaining emergencies came up would've resolved the situation, instead he gets defensive and condescending. Worst experience with a doctor I've ever had in all my life!!

Dr. Karpman performed a surgery on my enlarged prostate back in 2015. He is a wonderful doctor, and I'm greatly thankful to him for his brilliant job. I recommend Dr. Karpman to everyone having prostate problems.

Following prostate surgery by another surgeon, I spent over two years significantly dysfunctional due to incontinence and impotence. My quality of life was horrible and impacted every day of my existence. In 2011, Dr. Karpman installed two appliances and, at the risk of sounding dramatic, he saved me by restoring me to sexual functionality and being dry. I will be eternally grateful for having found him.

I have been seeing Dr Karpman for fertility treatment and for correcting a varicocele. Overall I have been very happy with Dr Karpman and can only recommend him. He has been knowledgeable and explained all the steps along the way making me feel comfortable and informed. His staff is also great. Some days his office may be busy and you may need to wait before being seen. He does spent required time with each patient and addresses every question which is great!

I'm writing this to help others who maybe considering a penile implant. Dr. Karpman is the best. Was recommended by a member of the website LPSG. He explains everything, and what to expect. I followed his instructions after surgery, everything is going well. Would absolutely recommend this over medication. No more waiting for medication to work. If you have had prostate cancer, this is the gold standard for a normal erection . Medicare covers most of the costs, your health insurance will cover .

I Interviewed 4 doctors nationwide (yes I traveled to each: New York, Chicago, Colorado, and California) and concluded that Dr. Karpman was my best choice. Dr. Karpman gave me an implant. His preliminary workup was through and to the point. Everything (positives and negatives) were clearly explained. His procedure was efficient and I healed quickly. His follow-up was good and he made sure I had all the information I needed prior to releasing me. I would readily recommend Dr. Karpman.

I had a 10:15 arrived 9:45 and waited 3 hours before seeing the doctor, who spent 10 minutes with me and advised to do a $20,000 procedure.. They advised they will bill medicare but took an impression of my c.c. Next thing I know I have a $393.00 charge to my credit card. I receive a bill and it asked for my Kaiser number to bill them. I called the office and asked why they charged me when they told me they would bill my ins. They said no they can not I have to pay. 72 years old and ripped off.

First impression was so bad that I got a refund and left. If you're okay with feeling like a second-class citizen by waiting 1.5 hours to be seen then this is the doctor for you! Nothing says my time is more important than yours than by asking you to show up early to fill out paperwork and then leaving you in the waiting room without any updates to how long you'll be waiting. Typical example of how doctors overbook so they make more money, at the expense and detriment of the patient experience
