Dr. Edward Kaplan, MD

I had a horrible experience. My insurance company sent the referral in and it said he was in network. His office called me a month in advance and got all my information. I show up for my appointment and they tell me I'm not in network.

New office is very nice. Wait time was under 10 minutes. Dr. Kaplan takes the time to listen to his patients and is good at reassuring them.

I have received nothing but great care from the doctors at this clinic. I was recently referred to another Dr. To preform a robotic procedure. This Dr Mcferren also provided great care.

Patient thorough and Caring

Dr. Kaplan is always thinking of what’s in my best interest, and he listens carefully to my questions and concerns and gives me well-thought-out answers.

Dr. Kaplan is a true professional and an empathetic listener. I have dual bilateral ureter stents that must be changed every 6 months due to damage sustained from endometrial cancer. This most recent visit was a follow up to one of those surgical encounters, he explained his plans to continue monitoring my condition and take whatever action is needed. The staff at his office location are competent and his peers in the urology practice are exceptional people. Last September I experienced a blockage in both ureters that resulted in an acute renal failure and of course that was a Saturday. I called the practice number and reported we were on the way to MCH emergency room, within minutes I received a call back from Dr. Scot McFerrin who was on weekend duty for the practice. Dr. Mcferrin met us at the ER and immediately arranged for a surgical procedure to replace two blocked stents identified by Ctscan. His quick action on a weekend saved my kidneys from additional damage. Thank the Lord

I should know as we have worked together in the operating room many times. He was my Dr of choice when I needed a urologist. This RN says you can trust his judgment and his technical skills. I highly recommend him.

Staff is very professional and polite. Dr. Kaplan asks appropriate questions regarding your health and listens to your concerns.

My wife has been a patient of Dr. Paul Kaplan for several years. She always so highly of him. When our PCP wanted to refer both of us to see a urologist recently, without pausing, she suggested that we see Dr. Kaplan. Our PCP agreed with her. Dr. Kaplan’s receptionist set an appointment for us to see him within a week. Dr. Paul Kaplan is very knowledgeable, personable, charismatic, calm, perspicacious and has excellent bedside manners. He is quite professional and is at the top his Field of Study. He devotes his undivided attention to his patients when he is with them in the examining room. Dr. Kaplan explains everything clearly and makes sure that his patients leave his office with a full understanding of their diagnosis. He goes the extra distance by giving his patients a personal telephone call with lab reports or results. For that, we are grateful. The attribute we like most about Dr. Kaplan is that he is humble. Great Doctor

Dr Kaplan provides stellar care to his patients. He is extremely competent and has wonderful bedside manners. I feel very confident with him as my physician in regards to knowing that I am receiving the best care.

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Kaplan and his clinic. Everyone was really nice. They fit in a little minor procedure for me, same day, with very little waiting. And best of all, Ed Kaplan was just easy to talk to. He's a just a regular guy. I really liked him. Honestly, I kinda hate hospitals. But I liked my experience yesterday at Urology Clinics of North Texas.

Dr. Kaplan gave me a paper prescription instead of sending it into my pharmacy. I was in the middle of a move at the time and lost my paper prescription, but still needed my medication badly. It took multiple calls and pleas that I had an active infection for the nurses to finally send my medication in to my pharmacy. They were going to make me come in for a second time to get a new prescription! I did not pay a $50 copay to have to go in a second time to get a prescription I was already given
