I would never recommend Dr. Fischer to ANYONE. He and his staff lack professionalism and empathy. I was very sick with a neurological disease and he basically shrugged me off as being depressed. I ended up getting another neurological physician and was diagnosed and treated immediately. Do yourself a favor and go to a reputable neurologist in Bostons top hospitals

DO NOT USE HIM
Never returns phone calls. Office staff is awful and refused to refill my prescription. He needs to retire.

great Dr. / terrible practice
Have been a patient of his for over 12 years- he is skilled and personable but his staff is terrible. Over the years it has gotten progressively worse to the point i needed to serve the relationship due to the lack of follow through, being hung up on and overall lack of regard from his staff. This is to bad because he is a good Dr. but the etiquette and lack of follow through during a time when people are in crisis is not acceptable. waiting 3 weeks for a non narcotic medication is un heard of. 2-3 weeks to send a MRI referral is unacceptable- it got to the point that my insurance called them to have it faxed.

Lacks follow ups
By far the worst and rudest neurologist I’ve ever had. I was supposed to start a new medication that can lower my seizure threshold and my doctor wanted me to run it by Dr. Fischer first. I called on Thursday on 4/13 followed up with the receptionist on Tuesday 4/18 (4 business days later) to see when I would get a call back. Now on Friday 4/21 the receptionist calls to ask me if Dr. Fischer had called me back and still no call. Finally, later that day he returns my call after waiting over a week for a callback. I asked him if his receptionists pass messages to him and he says “yes of course”. I proceeded to tell him I’ve been waiting for over a week for a call back and he told me “if you’re not happy with the service I provide then go elsewhere” I said “that’s a cold response” he said “it’s an honest response again if you’re unhappy go find another provider” needless to say I never got to even ask my question cause his unprofessional self told me to go elsewhere. Do not recommend!

Referred by agility orthopedics. They called to schedule me an appointment after a week still no callback to me. I followed up and after 10 days I just went looking for another doctor. Terrible service. I'd steer clear of this one.

Dr Fischer recommendeda sleep study and never contacted me with the results. At my follow up he asked how my CPAP machine was working out. I never received it nor had I been told that he recommended one. He assured me that his staff would take care of it and I would have a CPAP machine in a few days. That was 8 months ago. My symptoms are still present. The thought of calling and pursuing this just depresses me.

Lacks patient follow up, latency in returning phone calls causing patients to make several calls in a 2 week period before a return call is made. Makes patients wait for important documents to submit to insurance companies.
