Wonderful doctor
Figured out my diagnosis right away, and came up with a plan. He was spot on. After so many others had failed.

Outstanding Care
My primary physician submitted a referral to see Dr. Barton due to an ongoing medical issue. Dr. Barton listened to my concerns and offered multiple medical options during my visit. Ultimately, he gave me the medical advice that gave me hope.

Compassionate
Dr Barton is knowledgeable and definitely a specialist in neurology. Dr Barton took his time with me and even read over all my past tests that I have had done. Dr Barton is compassionate, funny and down to earth. The office was clean and staff was friendly. The only negative was the parking underground was confusing and you have to pay. I totally over looked that because my appt on June 3rd went so well and for once I felt hopeful.

I would definitely recommend West Coast Neurology to anyone who needs to consult with a neurologist. Dr. Barton has been treating my son for about 4 years and has been doing a good job of controlling his epilepsy. Now during the pandemic the doctor conducted a safe telehealth appointment with my son. Also West Coast Neurology has doctors who specialize in sleep medicine for those people who help in that area.

Really loved my experience with Dr Barton. I had a lot of issues. He spent a lot of time going through each issue one by one. It was so much, that he had me come back to give the consult even more time because he wanted to get even more details. He is very considered, thought through how to diagnose me. He did a brain mapping, which is a technology that only a few hospitals have, but he actually had it mobile so he just gave it to me to take home to record my brain. Wish I'd seen him years ago.

When I was getting persistent headaches, I went to see Dr. Barton. From the moment I was called in, it was different than any other doctor. Dr. Barton truly cares about every one of his patients. During the appointment, we discussed everything and he urged me to ask any questions I might have. He answered every question and really made me feel confident about the plan moving forward. I would highly suggest everyone going to see Dr. Barton. You truly helped me Doc

This doctor was incapable of eye contact. He also just treated me like a number and not a person. Worst of all, he did not do proper research when prescribing a particular medication for me. As it turns out, the meds that he prescribed for me could lead to blindness but a different doctor caught the error (hopefully in time to save my vision, which has worsened since being on the bad meds). That same issue, could have also led to something called, "PML" which could be fatal!!! Great going, Doc!

About Me

care philosophy

We believe in treating a patient as a person with a serious medical problem, not as a client walking into a business office. It is when a doctor takes patients' problems personally, that he would go above and beyond to take care of others.
