Dr. Edna Scheindling-Tokayer, MD

She is not a bad doctor , but her office and her customer service are horrendous . She never finalizes reports with your medical info . I waited for 1.5 hours in the office to receive a medical report from 6 months ago and was told by the office manager to leave bcz I am bothering them by asking for it . Extremely rude .

Caring and concern takes the time to explain in depth.In the three months Dr. Takoyer finally got my A1C under control from 8.5 to an outstanding 6.3. I have been a diabetic for 25 years .

Stay away from this office. Absolute WORST office and staff I have ever encountered! I wish I had read reviews before going here. The reviews are AWFUL and my experience has paralleled them!!! I only met Dr. Tokayer once or twice and she seemed nice enough. It is 1000000% true YOU CAN NEVER GET THROUGH TO ANYONE WHEN YOU CALL BY PHONE! And their ridiculous message that someone will call back within 24 hours is a lie!!! This office is unprofessional and a joke. Over the last several months I have come to question both the staff and Dr. Tokayer herself. I called that office 3,4,5 times over the last few weeks and left her assistant MINDA numerous messages which all went unanswered. I then received a message from someone named “Scott.” I left Scott a message and HE NEVER CALLED ME BACK! I question this doctor’s ethics. She has not called me back and at this point I think the board of medical examiners should be called. She needs a wake up call. DO NOT GO TO THIS OFFICE OR DR!

Stay away. There are better offices in Boca.

My son and I were very happy with the PA we saw on our first visit but since then it has been impossible to get in touch with the office. The portal is sub par and they do not answer the phone.

I was referred to this office, I am a new patient, I was told Dr. Edna was excellent. I have left 4 messages and one with the after hours number and not 1 phone call back. Amazing. I would like the Dr. Edna Tokayer know this. Horrible.

This doctor is well qualified but the front office is bad. . I've called the office twice with a serious medical concern and no one ever calls back.. its awful

Dr. Tokayer NEVER USE THIS DOCTOR This is to inform you that I will no longer be using your services as an endocrinlogist! I am so upset that the biospy specimen taken by Dr. Trepp could not provide or confirm that my enlarged thyroid nodule was benign or maligant. I waited so many months to get this appointment with the hopes of a positive outcome. That this procedure was not performed with a pathologist on hand to determine that the specimen was usable. That Dr. Krepp dug so far into my neck and caused me pain that lasted for days! And then you inform me that I have to have it redone and you want me to go to Boca Regional as an out patient with a pathologist present to read the specimen. WHY DIDN’T YOU DO THAT IN THE FIRST PLACE?

They are a rip off with their $25 fee that they charge just to make an appointment. They say they’ll refund you but I’ve called twice now an have never gotten a refund. I’ve never heard of a reputable practice charging just to make an appointment. I should have realized something was fishy when I checked their website. It’s looks like a 13 year old created it. Highly unethical behavior.

Dr Tokayer is totally unprofessional! My ultrasound showed a thyroid module that appeared to be malignant (80% chance). I know that due to Covid it is difficult to see a Dr. however this Dr took over 2 months to schedule a biopsy at the hospital because she wouldn’t risk doing it herself. I do not and have never had the virus. In addition the results of the biopsy was posted in my hospital portal in two days which she has access to and she did not call me with the results for 13 days. And then blamed her office staff and the hospital for HER lack of doing her job. DO NOT EVER GO TO THIS DR!! She also charged me cash and received payment from my insurance company. WHAT?!?!?

Dr Tokayer is a wonderful doctor and I have had MANY!! She takes the time and care to make you feel like a worthwhile human being. You never leave there depressed or stressed like many other doctors. You feel happy and validated!! Also she gets you the best technology to do the best job to manage your blood sugars. I look forward to going to the doctor and seeing her and Nurse Debbie who also wonderful!!

Dr. Edna Scheindling-Tokayer excels 5 stars in all the areas listed-Trustworthiness; Explains condition(s) well; Answers questions with expertise; and Time well spent. Dr. T gives her undivided attention to you and makes you feel she will take sincere care of you. I never feel rushed or uncertain of her medical advice. I am sorry I didn't find her years ago. Dr. T is truly the BEST around!

Very efficient and professional..

The worst physician’s office ever! I never wrote any kind of review before, but I have to do this one. I have been their patient for about a year now, and there was never anyone answered the phone. I have an appointment with them soon and I made my blood test schedule, but they never faxed my test order to the test center. I have left numerous messages but they never called me back. No matter what time during the days you call, I could never get an answer. I am looking for a different doctor now

I highly recommend Dr. Tokayer without any hesitation. Dr. Tokayer has incredible bedside manner. At the end of our session, after I already asked my long list of questions, Dr. Tokayer was filling out paperwork to send to the lab. I had one more question and Dr. Tokayer stopped what she was doing, stood up from her chair to come sit beside me on the table, looked me in the eyes, and addressed all of my remaining concerns. Her staff was also incredible from start to finish!

Polite, knowledgeable, spent time getting to know me. Would recommend to anyone.

I had an appointment with dr Tokayer this morning. I was seen by a nurse practioner for some reason.......not at my request. The doctor NEVER came to see me. Don't know why. I also called the office when I got home to say how disappointed I was. I had been a patient for 3 years visiting her twice a year. I now have a new doctor. Wonder what went wrong. Wonder if the doctor will ever call with a reasonable explanation. How could I recommend a doctor like this?????

I AM 75 YEARS OLD & THIS IS THE FIRST TIME IN MY LIFETIME THAT I MET A DOCTOR THAT IS SO TERRIFIC.. I CAN NOT SAY ENOUGH GOOD THINGS ABOUT HER. NOR COULD I RECOMMEND HER ANY MORE CONFIDENTLY THAN I AM. WE ARE ALL IN GOOD HANDS WITH DR EDNA TOKAYER.

Dr.Tokayer, Being a Dr. (Not medical) I know what it takes to be at the top of your profession. Dr.Tokayer is it, with out question. Great personality,and easy to understand. Dr.Murray
