Excellent provider

Long wait after having labs. Worth the wait because she takes time to listen and explain patiently and thoroughly. Describes and clearly explains each test result and each of her recommendations. Shows a very personal and personable interest in me. Gives a date for follow-up.

Waiting
I arrived in her waiting area at 0950. Many people came in after me. At 1055 I was called back, weighed, and pointed to an exam room to have my blood pressure taken. At 1125 Dr. Hickey came in and when I mentioned my long wait and others being called back who arrived after me the response I received was that those people had earlier appointments and that the only assured time was at 7 am. This tells me I was penalized for arriving early for labs and within 5 minutes of my specified time. She went over my labs and asked if there was anything I needed to address. I asked her about a bump on my hand & she didn’t look at it but said I’d need to see a dermatologist. She listened to my heart & lungs and checked the tests and immunizations I needed to update.

Dr Hickey has been my PCP for many years. She was hired by Kneibert Clinic approximately 25 years ago before St Francis purchased Kneibert Clinic. I worked as Administrative Assistant when we hired her. I have since retired and will continue to see Dr Hickey as my physician. In addition, I also consider her my friend.
