Bad Bedside Manner
I went to Dr Chen because I have a growth in my tongue and did not know what it was. Before he took a biopsy, he looked at it and said "You Have Cancer" he scared me to death a d said I would have to have part of my tongue removed. Went back a week later and he walked in and asked me for the biopsy results, I said I did not have them. He should have gotten the results before he saw me. He then came back and told me I did not have cancer and to go to a dentist, He said to back in 2 months and I told the girls at the desk, I would not come back to see him.

Absolute worst experience I’ve ever had with a medical professional. He was rude to the point that I was almost in tears. Gave no helpful advice and immediately shut down any ideas I had. He ended the appointment telling me that he didn’t know what was causing my ear pain and to go get another opinion somewhere else.

Awful. Horrible bedside manner and basically told me that every doctor I have ever seen was wrong about me having sinus infections and that my problem is more likely dry air. Because dry air can apparently cause yellow/green mucus that lasts for weeks and doesn’t go away until a long course of antibiotics and every doctor I have ever seen who has diagnosed me with a sinus infection was wrong.

If there was less than one star... Absolutely horrible experience. Imcompetent staff. Antiquated system. Dr. Chen has horrible communication. Worst doctors experience of my life. I spent 10 months and 10's of thousands of dollars for absolutely no improvement. Dr Chan's response? He wouldn't mind or be offended if I got a second opinion!!! This practice is a joke, be warned and stay far away.

This practice is awful. The administrative and support staff all look like they just rolled out of bed, are hung over, and would rather be anywhere else in the world but there. Rude, monotone, no personalities- they are like zombie robots. I saw Dr. Chen who was somewhat less than helpful. It seemed like he couldn't care less if I got better or not. The billing department is incompetent at best, trying to resolve an issue with them is near impossible & extremely aggravating. Would not recommend.

Dr. is well-versed in his field; HOWEVER, he does not have nurses, so when you have a question or a problem, you cannot get help. Additionally, the office staff both in Milford and New Haven are TERRIBLE: they cut you off when you speak on the phone; they are curt and rude with you at the office(s); they have lost my paperwork-TWICE-and act like it is my fault. It is a poorly run machine that is giving a good doctor a bad name. I do not feel safe leaving my health in the care of this practice.

Waited an hour in office packed full of sick people. Dr. Chen was the only doctor in so all of these people were there for him. Not one staff member apologized for him being so behind or anything. Once I was in his office he began to examine me without gloves he used his thumb on both nostrils and had me breathe in and blow out. Meanwhile, he just used the computer that the staff member just informed me that she was not feeling well. he did not give me a comfortable feeling & hygiene was issue
