My Cardiac Electrophysiologist at VMMC retired. 1. I SCHEDULED my annual wDr. Razak (as one of 2 Cardiac Electrophysiologist at VMMC) months in advance. THE DAY OF THE APPOINTMENT his office called & cancelled, no explanation but 'he needed to cancel'. As a Cardiologist, I assumed something urgent came up, and didn't ask any questions. 2. I RESCHEDULED, with a long lead time to an appointment again. 18 HOURS BEFORE THE APPOINTMENT, his office called & cancelled AGAIN w no explanation. This time I asked why. No reason except "he just needs to reschedule." 3. I RESCHEDULED AGAIN, again for months out. THE MORNING OF THE APPOINTMENT, his office again called to cx. This time I was told I needed to get a stress test before he would see me! When asked WHY this was not mentioned any of the 3 times I scheduled DIRECTLY WITH HIS STAFF? No idea. 4. I RESCHEDULED YET AGAIN, this time 2 coordinated appts, meaning MORE of a lead time. By now, I not ONLY needed an annual appt, but a heart medication refill, & cardiac clearance for a pending back surgery. 22 HOURS BEFORE THE APPOINTMENT, his office called to cancel bcs 'he doesn't DO cardiac surgical clearances.' WHAT?? When reminded the clearance was just an add-on to the Annual + Rx refill, I was advised I could reschedule - but not anytime soon - and for the Rx, perhaps I could schedule to see a PA? OMG. NO THANK YOU. NEVER AGAIN. Given his total lack of respect, lack of timeliness, lack of accountability or responsibility to the patient, lack of compassion, lack of solutions, etc, I would not trust him. period.

I was very pleased that he took the time to really pay attention to my concerns. I have a lot of confidence in him.

The doc had prepared by reading prior files and had an action plan that was solidified after we spoke.

Best physician and team care I have ever had.

I've had this problem for 40+ years. This is the 1st time a cardiologist thoroughly explained the problem and made me feel a lot more comfortable.

The feeling before, during and after the heart procedure was unearthly, like somewhere beyond the earth. The infinite warmth of the doctor and his team towards the patient, kindness and dedication to their work cannot be described in words. I truly believe that there are angels on earth who are sent from God to this planet in human form.

Wonderful Doctor. He was wonderful to my mother. He kneeled down and took both her hands in his and looked her in the eye and said he promised to do his very best for her. He did a wonderful job and she had a lot more energy.

Perfect experience from start to finish. Catheter ablation for A-Fib. Couldn't be happier with Dr. Razak. Very caring. Outstanding communication. Wish my GP was half as good.

Dr Razak is the best. His expertise in electrophysiology as well as his bedside manner is perfection in every way. He listens and puts his patients at ease. As scary as an ablation for Afib was to me I had no qualms knowing Dr Razak was doing this procedure.

Excellent Doctor. Knew me before I walked in. Like he studied me first. Knew what was wrong with my heart and listened to every concern and care I had. Outstanding experience.
