Dr. Dustin Kiker, MD

The office is very, and I mean VERY, slow with their responses until you follow up every single day until they get the point - something that took me months. Calling them is pointless, they say send a portal message then the portal message isn't read so when you call the office to follow-up the OFFICE then sends another portal message to the assistant to read your patient message.Gastroenterology is obviously an interesting field where there's always job security despite most of the time the answer being 'well we don't really know what's going on, it's just IBS but we'll test 20 different things over 2 years until we (maybe) find something that works'. Dr. Kiker is smart and educated and knowledgable for issues that are strictly GI-related, but does not seem able to help (nor is interested in learning) about causes/symptoms/diagnoses that are part-GI, part other areas.

Dr. Kiker took time to review my medical history with me, then explained why recent imaging had provided inadequate information about an the issue for which I was referred. He carefully explained why he wanted certain tests and what he would be able to learn from them. He answered all my questions, never rushing me. I feel confident that he has my best interests in mind.

They are professional, and highly competent. I highly recommend!!

This was my first procedure with Dr. Kiker and I have to say his bedside manner was excellent. Also, every nurse I interacted with were all friendly and helpful with any questions.

Dr Kirker's bedside manners were excellent. He explained everything before the procedure and came by after the procedure he came by and explained what he saw and what the next step would be. Janet, his nurse, called to follow up and nicely addressed my concerns. She thoroughly explained everything I asked about. She was very patient and professional. I love her and you will, too! I greatly recommend Dr. Kiker!

Dr Kiker made me feel at ease about a first time medical procedure I had to endure. He answered all of my questions and he and his team showed a high level of professionalism which also help build my confidence in his skills as a doctor and eliminated any worries I initially had about the procedure. After the procedure, he came into my post op room and explained in detail of his findings. There is no one else I would trust more than Dr. Kiker and his team for any of my future visits.

Dr. Kiker and his staff are THE BEST! I had my first colonoscopy last week and, needless to say, I was very nervous and not looking forward to the experience at all. However, as unpleasant as the task is, it must be done and I’m convinced there’s no one better in the Austin area care for you through this procedure. Dr. Kiker was so funny, caring, thorough and kind. I felt completely at ease and relaxed in his care. All the nurses and support staff I encountered on that day were so warm and caring, I really felt safe and in good hands. I enthusiastically recommended Dr. Kiker and Hill Country Ambulatory, especially if you’re nervous. They really know how to make you feel at ease and cared for.

This was first colonoscopy and Dr. Kicker made me feel at ease. His whole team was great. I highly recommend him. If I ever have to have another, he would be the only doctor I would want to use. I give him the highest rating possible.

Scheduled a procedure for a Thursday and it didn’t go quite as planned (not the docs fault). When I woke up Dr. Kiker was there to explain the problem but made room to get me in the first thing the following day. His bedside manner was excellent and his staff was second to none and kept the mood light. I would highly recommend him to anyone and plan on using him in the future.

Everything went very smoothly. The staff was very friendly and I couldn’t be happier.
