Dr. Durga Sure, MD

After 2 failed back surgeries we were fortunate to be led to Dr Durga Sure who is a neurosurgeon & at that time was located in Little River, SC. My husband was in constant, severe pain & unable to do almost anything. After meeting with Dr Sure & having a few test done he recommended another back surgery. He was upfront with us & let us know there was no guarantee that he would be pain free but he certainly would have some relief from the constant pain he was now suffering from. The surgery was performed & lasted for 8 hours. The surgery was more involved than expected & he had to make some changes to previous surgeries plus what he knew had to be done. He explained everything that was done & gave him the the best care afterwards for a successful recovery. I’m so pleased to say for the first time in years my husband is pain free & we owe that to the care provided to him by Dr Sure & God We personally would recommend him to anyone. He is now relocating to Austin, Texas.

I have had several surgeries over the years on my back/spine and had a variety of hardware that had been used to fuse my spine. I was limited in what I could do, including walking without pain. Dr. Sure reviewed my history, explained what was causing the problems, and identified a solution. He is highly professional and caring, an exceptional physician, and an outstanding surgeon. Dr Sure is an outstanding surgeon. He and his staff are excellent examples of what physicians and caregivers should be. I had been having back trouble for several years and had tried everything to alleviate the pain. Dr Sure knew exactly what needed to be done. I am three months post surgery and am walking pain free for the first time in four years. I can’t say enough good things about him. If you want a caring, outstanding doctor, he’s the man to see.

On Nov 1st I woke with severe shoulder pain and was unable to raise my left arm. After 5 days of this I was seen by my orthopedic Dr. MRI done showed Spinal Stenosis C4C5. Going on to 2 Neurologist's with MRI, for consultation, (1 in CT), they both agreed surgery was a must. Deciding to have surgery close to Little River and not in CT. I made an appointment to see Dr. Sure. After 1/2 hr he felt differently then the other MD's He diagnosed me as having Parsonage Turner Syndrome from a flu shot! No surgery just extensive PT. Now just 3 months later. I have full range of my arm and Physical Therapist working on regaining strength. Many, many, thanks to Dr. Sure for looking at the whole picture, and Not just the MRI. !!! He is without a doubt a 5 star to me!!

I had back surgery with Dr. Sure several months ago. I had been experiencing pain for years from a pinched nerve in my back that radiated pain down my legs.
