Fantastic Orthopedic Surgeon
Dr. McKellar has replaced both of my knees. My recovery time was very short and I attribute that to Dr. McKellar. Dr. McKellar made me feel very relaxed and secure before surgery by his attention to detail and his easy mannerism.

never on time
He is a decent doctor... but NEVER on time. Every time I have gone there I have waited in the waiting room over 15 minutes past my appointment time... then in the exam room for at least 30 more minutes before being seen. This is ridiculous! I always request either the first appointment of the day or right after lunch, but it does not seem to matter. I took 2 hours off work for my last appointment & was over 45 minutes late getting back to work... for a 10 minute appointment, quite ridiculous!!!They really need to figure out how to manage their schedule better!

He did not help me.
He did an MRI without contrast on my hip. He told me there was nothing wrong with me. He said he would refer me to a hip specialist but I never got a call. I found another doctor that did an MRI with contrast and showed I had a torn labrum. In the meantime I was running and making it worse.

Excellent surgeon
Dr. Mckellar took the time to diagnose ,explain the procedure answered all question with direct thorough answers. I never felt that he rushed the appointment(s). Post surgery visit was the same .I have complete faith in him.
