Dr. Duncan Lahtinen, MD

I have been a patient of his since about 2009. He has always been very professional, and extremely compassionate with the care I receive. I have my share of health problems but Dr Lahtinen always takes the time to talk with me about them and explain the options I have for treating them. He never make me feel like he's in a hurry, and takes the time to be a friend as well as a concerned Doctor! I would recommend him to anyone that is looking for a really good primary care physician. I hope I never have to try to find another, guys like him are hard to find. The nurses are excellent as well.

I and my family have been with Dr. Duncan Lahtinen for a very long time he is one of the best doctors that I do recommend to whoever needs a good doctor to go too. Me and all my families visits are always spot on and he answers all of our questions with ease and expertise that he has. We all love and adore him very very much.

This makes me very, very sad.....Dr. Lahtinen's professional staff IS IN DIRE NEED OF CONSIDERABLE MEDICAL AND HUMAN RESOURCES TRAINING AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. It may NOT even be their conscious fault, but on the day of my appointment Dr. Lahtinen's senior medical assistant ( I graduated, with honors, from back office medical assisting at California College of Health Science in 2004 ) committed SEVERAL MAJOR MISTAKES WITH MY CASE, WHICH AFFECTED ME DIRECTALLY , AND DR. LAHTINEN REFUSED TO HELP ME. . (Personality wise, SHE IS A NICE PERSON.) NO !!! I WOULD MOST DEFINITELY = NOT = RECOMMEND THIS DOCTOR AND HIS PRACTICE TO ANYONE I CARED ABOUT, ESPECIALLY NOT TO POTENTIAL FEMALE CLIENTS OR MOTHERS. THE DOCTORS PROFESSIONAL COMMUNICATION SKILLS NEED A GREAT DEAL OF WORK AND IMMEDIATELY. C.H.

Worst doctor (using that term loosely) ever.

Dr Lahtinen has always been a concerned and compassionate doctor. He diagnosed me with thyroid disease when others missed it, which made a huge difference to my health. My kids love him too. He is a good family doctor who respects our freedom to make medical decisions for ourselves.

This is a catch 22 b/c I would recommend this doctor since he is professional, helpful, kind, and smart, but I can't recommend most of his staff; the place is a nightmare and nobody is doing anything to control the misconduct. Take Dr. Lahtinen and put him in a clinic of his own with compatible staff and it would be heaven there.

After jumping through hoops to have his office acquire my medical records, I was informed that since I have taken pain meds (which were given to me by doctors because of my extreme pain for Gout) that I would not be accepted as a new patient. This is a first for me. Worst experience I've ever had to deal with. I now at least begin to understand why his rating is where it is. Probably just the scratch of the surface.

He takes Medicare/Tricare & is ok. I've NEVER gotten more RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL TREATMENT though than when his medical assistant called today (I told her my dear father died 4 days ago, and t that I have a jaw infection and need to have all my teeth pulled next week. ) to make a appointment for me. I can BARELY THINK straight, and she bawled me out. Did NOT EVEN SAY SHE WAS SORRY, about my beloved father when I told her. No COMPASSION and I've gone there before.
