I visited Dr. Hanby for what I thought was a clogged ear. It was discovered that I experienced sensorineural hearing loss in one ear. I was distraught and asked Dr. Duncan what were my options to gain my hearing back. He told me the only thing he could do was give me low dosage steroids; however, I more than likely wouldn’t gain my hearing back. Needless to say under his care I didn’t gain my hearing. He told me I would need to get a hearing aid. Distraught I sought a second opinion. This second ENT stated he would do everything in his power to get my ear back. Within one week I had improvement. Got another injection and by the second week I had my hearing back to a normal level. I am DEEPLY disappointed in the lack of treatment and how Dr. Hanby gave up on trying to help me immediately. I would have a hearing aid at the age of 32 if I would have listened to his medical opinion.

Dr. Hanby was wonderful. He explained procedures and choices so that it was easy to understand. He was gentle and very conscious of not causing any unnecessary discomfort during the ear procedure. My time for arranging an appointment was very limited, but Dr. Hanby went out of his way to accommodate.

Dr. Hanby was born in Houston, TX. He spent the majority of his early years in Corpus Christi TX where he attended WB Ray High School. He and his wife, Dr. Jennifer Daigle Hanby are the parents of two children.
