Dr. Douglas Tumen, DPM

This doctor kept me waiting 45 minutes, reviewed my imaging report, told me what was best for me, did not ask me if I had any questions (I asked them anyway) or advise me about what comes next (until I asked) and began a procedure without my consent. I told him to stop - that I hadn't consented yet, and he took off his gloves, tossed them down, told me it was his birthday (which is not my business or my concern), and stared at me - waiting for consent. I was upset, feeling gaslit, thinking about my options and my pain, and then he told me he had people waiting. So I said I did not give consent and he told me he hopes I find someone else and walked out. Zero compassion or understanding of collaborative decision making, not the slightest interest in me as a person on top of a tantrum about his birthday. What an awful experience.

Dr. Tumen was terrific in assessing my inury and in its treatment. His ability to listen and to explain is excellent. Glad to have him as my podiatrist as I heal.
