Dr. Douglas Sprung, MD

Since 1994 been my Doctor and friend for all these years . Dealing with chronic chrons he has kept me well and leading a very normal life.

I went for a first time appointment today after suffering for months with terrible bloating, nausea, belly pain, and right side flank pain and what felt like a nodule below my right rib cage. I All the doctor did was make comments about my occupation and employer and his history. I tried describing my medical history and he would constantly interrupt me and change subjects back to my history with anxiety. I told him recently it hasn't been under control like it was, and I'm sure it has an impact. I delayed seeking GI care or going to the ER because I wanted to make sure it wasn't just my anxiety and that I'm confident something isn't normal. He was dismissive and told me 'a young woman with anxiety...it's definitely the issue....and we can't determine what's wrong otherwise until you get it under control.' He hadn't done a physical exam and was referencing bloodwork from over a year prior. If you have anxiety or are a woman under 40, don't see this physician. He won't listen or care.

I had a particular condition and sought out Dr. Sprung based on his outstanding reviews. What I experienced was an unrushed visit, he truly listened to my concerns and explained everything in a comprehensible manner and made recommendations. I found a doctor who truly cares, who was professional thorough and personable. I have total confidence in Dr. Sprung. His staff was so cooperative and kind and provided an appointment that accommodated my schedule, everyone was so competent and professional and personal. I would highly recommend Dr. Sprung.

From the moment I walked in , I was very impressed with the office staff. Very kind and helpful. Also I was called within ten minutes of arriving. The care I received was excellent. And my Doctor Douglas Sprung was just awesome. He is a keeper, you don't find Drs like him anymore because they are few and far between. He has a great bedside manner and he makes you feel very comfortable and at ease. Kudos to all that took great care of me.

The surgical center was very clean and the staff was awesome. Dr Sprung took the time to explain everything to me about the procedure and what to expect. Highly recommend this practice.

Beside his obvious medical skills, I wanted to add that the small office is run efficiently by an excellent staff. This has been the case for the 12 years I've been a patient, and still today, I can get an appointment quickly, even same day when it's necessary, and everything feels unrushed and personal like back in the day. Dr Sprung is now treating my entire family and I couldn't recommend him more.

Dr. Sprung is honestly one of the very few doctors I've seen who actually listened, treated me like a partner in my own health and lent a sympathetic ear, voice to how my various gastro issues affects my daily life. After years of struggling to be heard and let alone diagnosed and treated properly, it was a huge relief to find Dr. Sprung. He was able to diagnose what was wrong with me by interviewing me in his office before even having done the exam. He listened. Prior doctors and ER hospital staff had misdiagnosed me for years I have been suffering over 10 years of unnecessary pain, tests, CT and MRI that are very expensive and not healthy for you and medication. Dr. Sprung was able to diagnose my gastric issues in one appointment and I’m doing great! I am not taking a bunch of unnecessary medications. He prescribed a plan that works for me and I feel 100 better. I got my life back. Thank you Dr. Sprung. I highly recommend Dr. Sprung and his very knowledgeable staff. Changed my life
