Dr. Shoenberger is the Best.
He has been my primary physician for 33 years. He treats me like family and I believe that he treats all of his patients like family. He really enjoys his role of keeping his patients as healthy as possible. I have type 2 diabetes and he has helped me get my blood sugar under control. He has to be doing a lot of research every night because his knowledge base of current studies is incredible.

DO NOT USE THIS ANTIQUATED PRACTICEy
My Father-in-Law who is a terminally ill patient became sick Friday afternoon. We called the office and got vm and a number for an on-call physician. There was no answer or ability to leave a message for the on-call MD. We waited until Sat. morning thinking someone would surely call back - No. My FIL ended up in the hospital Saturday. Shoenberger's office called on TUESDAY! (3 days later!!) - when I expressed my dissatisfaction to the front desk woman regarding lack of response she stated "We are short staffed" and hung up! HORRIBLE - and this is their mission statement: Coopersburg Family Practice is the patient’s advocate. We will provide high-quality medical care to our patients and work to improve the health of our community. WHAT A JOKE!

Does not really listen well. Negligible follow up. Radical right political views on display outside of his office. Good if you just want a pill for symptoms.

My sister is a patient of Dr. Shoenberger. Recently, she asked him if she should get the Covid vaccine and he replied, “hell no!”. He went on to declare that the Covid vaccine is a form of population control, and that more people are dying FROM the vaccine than from Covid. He even emailed her a known disreputable website with disinformation, which she believed fully. She asked if he was vaccinated and he told her that he is not, though he is representing himself as having been vaccinated to his staff. Dr. Shoenberger himself spent several weeks in the hospital with Covid, a fact which he openly shares. When my sister asked what would happen if she contracted Covid, he stated, “you’ll go to the hospital. You’ll have the same internal medicine team that I had, and you’ll be fine”. Well, my sister now has Covid and is getting sicker. Dr. Shoenberger has prescribed Ivermectin, a horse dewormer that is not FDA approved nor safe for human use. I have notified the State Medical Board.

I have never encountered a more obnoxious, nasty doctor. Made an appointment to apply for medical marijuana for my husband who lost his sight seven years ago. He suffers from panic attacks, anxiety and depression. My husband received counseling for two years and we still attend support groups. Dr Shoenberger accused me of letting my husband suffer because he did not see a psychiatrist and get medication which I told him our primary doctor did have him on anti depression medicine for years. He accused me of not helping my husband and I was the reason my husband is the way he is.Who is he to judge me without even knowing our situation. He should not be on list as registered doctor for med marijuana, He shoved us out of his office screaming for us to GET OUT in-front of patients and staff. Disgrace to his profession. My husband was traumatized.

I have been seeing Dr Doug for years now and he is the most thorough Dr that I have been to. He is the only Dr that will work with you when it comes to finances. He cares more about his patients than money he spends time answering your questions. People need to realize that Doctors are not God they can only do so much and if your not going to participate and take responsibility in your own health than than that's on you not the Doctor. I highly recommend this Doctor!

I have been with Dr shoenberger for ten years. He has helped me with every stage of recovery. I moved from Center Valley to Abington two years ago. I still go to Dr shoenberger, it takes an hour to get there but we'll worth it. People ask me why don't you switch doctors. I ask them would you trade Farve in his prime.

I have been going to Dr. Shoenberger for many years and it's because I like him. He's a straight forward guy, he's caring and he has a great personality and sense of humor. He doesn't talk down to you or rush through your visit. I also like that he has walk in hours early in the morning for sick patients so you can get in to see him if needed before school or work without waiting for an appointment. I don't know how he keeps up the hours he puts in, but he is obviously a dedicated doctor.
