Knee and Hip Consultation
Went for a consult on Knee & Hip replacement, plus a fractured knee. He was very busy, abrupt and short. Not in the mood to explain anything. In his defense he was having computer problems and was having difficulty accessing my films. A very poor consultation and his staff never sent in a prescription for PT as promised. I heard from friends he was the "go to guy", but this wasn't my experience. He might be a great Surgeon, but I need to engage in order to make decisions for myself. Just heads up, poor bedside manner.

Highly recommended by other physicians
That said, it’s difficult to get a word in edgewise because he never shuts his mouth. If you have anything important to communicate, make sure you absolutely communicate that information to his assistant who will interview you in the exam room before the doctor comes in. Once the doctor enters the room, you will not have any opportunity to ask additional questions. This is apparently how the doctor is, even in social situations. As is typical in our standard fee for service medical system here in the good old US of A, your visit with an actual medical doctor, in this case Dr McInnis, will be completed and you will be on your way out the door in less than 10 minutes. So make sure during those other 10 minutes you spent with Dr McInnis’ assistant that you are very explicit about your ailment, symptoms and any and all questions. Total time 20 minutes tops.

Great Consultation
Checking in was easy and the gals were very knowledgeable and helpful. The digital tablet was mostly already filled in from a hip replacement back in October 2015 so was a breeze. Dr. McGinnis was thorough in explaining exactly what would occur with the total hip replacement. He showed me the x-rays that perfectly showed why I need the replacement surgery. The doctor was very friendly, and I feel very comfortable with Dr. McGinnis performing this procedure. I am truely looking forward to the procedure.

Thanks to Dr. McInnis for being very informative in discussing my diagnosis for a hip replacement and explaining the differences between posterior and anterior surgery. He was very personable and easy to talk with throughout the consultation. He has a very organized system to educate and prepare you for what to expect.

Office visit, review need for hip replacement
All personnel were friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. I was interviewed by a second health provider while waiting for Dr McInnis, this was a very informative session. Dr McInnis reviewed x-rays and hip condition with me and was extremely informative, non-jargon answers to my questions

The OSSM Doctors have created a fine reputation. Their entire staff models the best well rounded medical office you could hope for. You must go here, you will not regret your decision. Not only is their staff very knowledgeable and skilled. They also care how you will regard, all your options. I have had multiple procedures done by many on their staff, and I will have more. Some sooner than others. I will recommend Dr. McInnis for the talet he did with my left hip. When I initially saw him, he immediately understood what pain I had been dealing with and wondered why I wasn't using a cane! I'm completely happy 5 years later and I recently had a visit to his office for my right hip, where we both see I'm lucky not needing it done right now. He is a medical authority I hope is available if I ever need it done.

I have been asking around for a great recommendation for an orthopedic doctor for knee surgery, and Dr. Mc Innis' name kept popping up. I just met him, and was impressed that he took the time to explain my condition and his recommendations. Surgery has been scheduled, and I am looking forward to a great experience.
