Dr. Douglas Johnson, MD

Please don’t waist your precious time and energy. You don’t deserve to be treated like this. The nurse that did my intake paperwork I figured was having a bad day and seemed disinterested when jotting down my symptoms. I felt more like a bother to her than a patient at a practice. I waited for 28 minutes before asking if I could expect to be seen soon, very kindly. She informed me that the doctor was in a procedure running late which I totally get. The door was cracked and I could hear every word about me she was gossiping to the other nurses in the hallway. I heard that I was “ungretaful” for them allowing me to be a bit late (which I even called ahead of time to confirm it was ok / if I needed to reschedule or anything which they told me it was fine and to come in), that I was “confrontational and rude”, and the rest makes me sick to my stomach and made me want to tear up. I don’t care what the situation is but as a nurse, you treat your patients with kindness and care. Not make false, un-true statements about them behind their back. I served in the US military and that’s not how any veteran should be treated or any person you don’t know. The whole situation was very disheartening and I just canceled the appointment since I knew so wouldn’t get the care I needed at this place. (Nurse was wearing orange scrubs, 11:50AM-12:30PM 4/17/24

I flew from Hawaii to Oahu to see Dr. Johnson this week for my first visit. I was nervous as I had plenty spots to have him check out, on referral of my doctor. The staff was great, scheduling was easy, and the experience in office was fabulous. Friendly and efficient office and exam assistant staff. He knew exactly what I had, quickly and proficiently removed a cancer from my chest, all the while we had a great conversation. He recommended s9 etchings n9 one else ever had for my face…and I see him in three m9nths. EZ. I’m grateful to Dr. Johnson.

Dr Johnson scheduled me for an emergency overdue stitch removal, which I acquired in an accident on the mainland. Neither Urgent Care, nor my regular MD. were able to do it. Dr. Doug let me come in at closing time on a Saturday. Some local anesthesia and it was done. He is a magician and saved me a lot of anxiety. He has always been there for my husband and me, during trying circumstances, which he lightened up with his inimitable sense of humor. Dr. Johnson no ka oi !

I love Dr. Johnson and his staff. I recommend him to everyone I know who needs a dermatologist because he has helped me with my dermatology problems with expertise and compassion. He is kind, caring, patient, and explains things clearly. His staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

Dr. Johnson is one of the finest doctors with whom I have ever worked. I have gone to him for almost 30 years and his medical diagnoses and recommended procedures have always been 100% correct. His staff is competent and friendly. His manner is caring and wonderful...and his quick, sharp wit helps with even the most serious medical situations. He has, several times, recommended doctors for non-dermatological consultations and treatment. His analyses have always been excellent and the doctors #1!

Doctor Johnson is my favorite Doctor. He is the only doctor that ever helped me get well. He also treated my mother during her lifetime. He really cares about you as a person. He is compassionate and exceptionally intelligent. Most people do not know about the vast amount of patients that he is helping or how much time he spends by paying it forward. I feel humbled and blessed to have him as my doctor and friend. I hope that you will try Doctor Johnson if you need help. Mahalo and Aloha!
