Dr. Douglas Harrington, MD

I have been going to him since I moved here. He delivered my oldest child and his mid wife chris delivered my youngest. I did have 1 insurance issue. I talked with him and his staff and resolved the issue. He is out spoken but to the point. Which I like because he keeps it real. I do miss him and his staff. Most of my family members went to him as well. I am still looking for a doctor with the same to the point and take care of issues at hand attitude.

I’ve had Dr Harrington as my OB for over 12 years and have never felt more comfortable with any Dr in my life. Chris delivered my middle child and I loved her as well. I’ve never felt out of place or unwelcome in his office. Dr Harrington took care of all of my other medical needs as well. He retired in February of this year, I got pregnant with my final baby in March and I sure do miss him. He has been irreplaceable. I’m hoping to catch him at the hospital since he is still delivering babies, when it’s time to have my son. He is truly missed.

Dr. Harrington made us feel awful about our desire to have a non-interventional pregnancy. He wasn't very accommodating to our birth plan. He was also very rude when discussing the plan, it was definitely his way or the highway. We gladly chose the highway. His midwife/ staff didn't know the standard requirements for a glucose test. His office staff wasn't very helpful in figuring out billing questions. We didn't see a bill or get any answers until after we switched away from his practice.

Condescending attitude, unnecessarily rough during exams, tells patient what they are feeling rather than listening.
