I like this guy!
My eye doctor recommended Dr. Grayson for a cataract surgery. I had previously had my right eye done by another doctor that I did not like at all and my eyesight suffered greatly. my first appointment I had to wait an hour. I was about to walk out of the office when I was called into Dr. Grayson. He is rather short, not in height but in conversation. That’s OK with me! We scheduled an appointment for an operation and everything went on time and very smoothly. It was discovered I had a blocked artery in my left eye during the operation. I’ve been undergoing treatment for that for the past year. My right eye as I said, the vision was very poor Dr. Grayson lasered the lens in my right eye. I got my vision back instantly. I am a senior citizen and was actually considering giving up driving vision was getting so poor. Now I see almost perfectly. I am very grateful to the doctor. And by the way, I find Dr. Grayson a pleasure to speak with! He answers my questions, briefly, but that’s OK!

Go anywhere else!
Difficult to schedule appmts, long wait times, rude staff, arrogant Doctor and aggressive push to high end out of pocket option. I had one eye done based on their recommendation of most expensive out of pocket option. They would not answer my questions and I went into surgery without fully understanding the option they had forced me into. After two weeks- I tried to shift to a different ( lower cost-more suitable) option for my other eye after doing my own research and living with disappointing results of my first eye. Swelling was terrible, permanent drooping eye( they cup your eye twice for laser which is not common practice-but more convenient for doctor), and 20-30 vision in the eye he performed surgery on due to a pre-existing retina condition that they did not disclose to me during exam. Basically , I was mislead and pushed into highest cost option-which was not the right choice for my eyes. I went elsewhere for other eye.

Highly recommended
Dr Grayson and his team are awesome. Excellent pre surgery evaluation and communication. Superb post surgery care. Dr Grayson successfully operated on my eye to cure UGH Syndrome - other surgeons told me there was no hope due to complications resulting from prior eye surgeries.

I can see clearly now!!!!
I could not be more pleased with the treatment I received at this clinic. All the workers there were very polite and considerate to all my concerns. Dr. Greyson did a remarkable job on both my eyes by removing cataracts. I am now back to nearly 20/20 vision and it is GREAT! Thank you all and a BIG Thank You to Dr. Greyson. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND you to all people who need vision help. Happily signed, Steve Sluka.

This Dr. might have a great academic bio ... BUT
This Dr. might have a great academic bio and credentials, but the place he works at is a disaster. OOMC (Omni Ophthalmic Management Consultants) / Omni Care / Omni Eye Services! As MANY of the reviews here (and elsewhere) are telling you . . . stay away! It is puzzling why ALL 5 of the local Opticians in 5 different locations around here recommend this place (Omni). Even with their low low rating!!! Someone should look into why this is!!! Are there incentives involved?

All about the money!!
Disorganized, unprofessional staff and You never see Dr Grayson. I had one eye done-not happy with results and am going elsewhere for second eye. They do a hard sell on laser and high end lenses which is $4,000 out of pocket per eye. Very slimy place-

Could not get a reply to phone messages or emails.
They want you to schedule cataract surgery the day you visit. I wanted to speak to my ophthalmologist about lens type choices, as I knew he would give me more time and explanation than Dr. Grayson appeared to be willing to offer. He clearly wanted to spend the minimum amount of time possible with me. After seeing my ophthalmologist and making the decision about lens type (different than what Dr. Grayson recommended), I was unable to schedule my surgery. I called and emailed repeatedly without receiving any replies. My cataracts' effect on vision is limited, so urgency is not an issue. I may still use Dr. Grayson, but for now will see if I can find another well-credentialed provider with time to explain and an office staff that is responsive.

Forget about dealing with this man.
I got absolutely nowhere trying to book an appointment with this man. I've known for years that I need cataract surgery. I've been told so by more than one eye doctor in other cities where I've lived over the past 5 years. I called Dr. Grayson's office to discuss insurance coverage and all I got was a bunch of BS from his receptionist about requiring certification from a general practitioner to the effect that I need cataract surgery. My insurance doesn't require a referral from a GP, yet Dr. Grayson's office wants his patients to pay a GP to see them before he will even let you into his office. There is a reason why he gets a 2.3 rating on this site. Don't even bother with this man. There are plenty of highly qualified eye surgeons all over the New York metro area. Dr. Grayson knows nothing about customer service. He should retire.

His academic accolades are impressive, however, his patient skills are lacking. I spend the appointment time with his technologists. They do the tests and he reviews their notes and then make the diagnosis. He spends approximately 8-10 minutes (if that long) with the patient. Are his technologists prognosis even accurate? I personally would not recommend Dr. Grayson.

He is part of Omni Care in Parsippany NJ. You never get examined by the dr. The office is a n assembly line of moving you from one room to another. Was there about 3 hours with about 15 minutes or less of exam time total. Dr himself is the last stop and spends no time with you.

Wait time was very long. First thing spoken was about prices, which continued by every staff member (relentless discussion of prices). When doctor said procedure was safer if I paid extra out of pocket, I lost all confidence in the doctor who I only saw for about five minutes out of almost four hours at the office. When calling back, I always reached an answering machine. Was told office would not assist with extra insurance forms and I could go fight that on my own. I cancelled surgery.

Dr. Grayson did laser surgery for glaucoma on my 91 year old mother. The surgery itself was successful. However, we have always waited forever every time we have gone there but today was the worst! She had a 3pm appt. just to check her eyes. They called her in at 3:30. At 4:45 I was concerned and asked to see what was going on. She was sitting in a room with the door closed for an hour. Five people were in and out while I waited. Obviously we were not the money maker laser is. Never again!

Awful. They schedule everyone for the same time. We waited for 2 hours. They are totally disrespectful of your time. After waiting for 2 hours, he spends about 10 minutes with you
