BEWARE!!! I'd like to give negative stars!
Work comp visit...been out of work for 15 years...appointment was 4 minutes and 37 seconds long (I recorded it). Never took measurements, never did any tests other doctors had done in the past. First doctor in 15 years that said I could return to work with no restrictions!!! Obviously, this determination was later vetoed by the work comp board but I should have never had to go through months of turmoil because of Dr Becker!!! My suggestion is...record every visit so you have proof of his incompetence!!

Thoroughly professional and extremely helpful; and personable too. He fixed my shaky right knee twice, even after it completely locked up. Dr. Becker repaired my completely torn quadriceps more recently even after I walked around on it for a couple weeks after initially falling on an icy sidewalk. I ended up unintentionally making it worse by doing this--but Dr. Becker got it all patched up-- amazingly. A very skilled surgeon.

My experience with Douglas Becker was frustrating and humiliating. He seemed to have absolutely no interest in helping me. Instead, he insinuated that I was making up the pain and discomfort I've been experiencing for nine months. This was especially bizarre since he asked few relevant questions and conducted almost no hands-on exam.

I took my mom over there, she has been in pain for over a month, he ordered X-ray and stayed in the room with us for 2 minutes, didn't even evaluate and want to listen to us. He did not take notes, he told us that she has Bursitis in her hip and told her to take Advil. He is the worst Dr. I have ever seen, and would not recommend to anyone.

The first time I saw Dr. Becker was 17 yrs ago when he operated on my wrist after an injury. His approach is conservative, which I appreciate. After 2 cortisone shots over a period of a year, it was apparent that my wrist wasn't going to heal on it's own so Dr. Becker recommended surgery. I haven't had a problem since. A year ago I injured my wrist in a different spot. Once again he suggested a cortisone shot and a soft splint and within a month I was back "in business".

Reside in Dallas, TX. Flew to Minneapolis at recommendation of a friend. Ecstatic that I did so. I had rotator cuff surgery two years ago on my left shoulder. My right shoulder was much worse and more complicated. Dr. Becker did an outstanding job. Virtually no pain. Rapid recovery. Out of an arm sling in four and a half weeks. Incredible results. Extremely happy. I give Dr. Becker the highest recommendation. He's the best.

Met w/ Dr. Becker for 2nd opinion for work comp. I have had 3 invasive surgeries over the past 4 years, including lumbar fusion that has left me with perm nerve damage & facet joint degeneration. Told him itting is the worst (didn't sit thru apptmt). Had two failed spinal stimulation trials, injections, PT, etc. Dr. Becker met with me for 8 minutes (I timed it) and determined nothing was wrong with me and I can work full time. "First do no harm does not apply to Dr. Becker!

My office experience was great and Dr. Becker didn't waste any time evaluating my hip problem, scheduling a surgical appointment at ANW, successfully replacing my left hip and seeing to my hospital and transition after surgery care.

Not a good experience at all. Dr. Becker arrived 50 minutes late to start the appointment to evaluate my cervical pain. He was indifferent and condescending. His examination and questions were amateurish. He took very little notes and then ended the exam abruptly. He also ordered an unnecessary x-ray since the results of a recent x-ray and MRI's were available but he did not bother to review or consult them. His bed side manner is not comforting. He was dressed in a suit and carried himself more
