This was hands down the worst doctor's experience of my life, 65 years in. I suffer from bilateral sciatica, bilateral central canal and foraminal stenosis, suffer from nerve impingement; every disc in my lumbar spine is bulging... surgeons want to replace 2 discs with rubber ones & fuse me at 3 levels. I also have a Schmorl's node. My primary has been after me for years to get an epidural and referred me to Beall. This guy comes in obviously in a hurry, has me raise & lower my legs and then asks me where it hurts most and I told him different places. He asked me no, where does it hurt most, and I told him again at different times, it's different places. I also have suffered from DGS, so when that's active it hurts more than you can imagine. When my legs give out, that hurts more than other places. And the center of my back hurts all the dang time. I tried telling this guy these things, and all he wanted to do was interrupt me and no matter what I said, "No, no, no, where does it hurt the most?" I guess since I wouldn't answer his question the way he wanted me to, he wanted nothing to do with me, as he literally said, "Sorry, I cannot help you." He was focused on something other than helping me. I don't know whether it was his 3-5 minute time limitation per patient or doing things his way or the highway or what, but it most definitely wasn't me. I have never felt more humiliated in my life, as he did this in front of his nurse and another doctor-looking guy. This kind of interaction makes me not want to go to a doctor ever again! And I did a repeat MRI & waited 3 months on THAT? Shame on him!

Knee Pain
Dr. Beall injected my knee after I began experiencing sudden, sharp pain after working out. My knee has felt great ever since, and I feel comfortable with the plan we discussed should the pain return. My insurance was checked, and I received communication from his staff within the same day. He knew exactly how to help, and I feel comfortable that he will make the right decisions regarding my care. Thank you Dr. Beall!!

13 days wasted
I tried to get an appointment with Dr. Beall for 13 days--done everything they wanted me to do, but not good enough. Kawehi, in my opinion after only having one conversation with her on 7-13-2022 told me to find a different doctor. I had been talking to Charlet Young who on 7-13-2022 I was told was new! No empathy no concern for my frustration or pain--My husband told me there is a reason for everything--like perhaps this doctor is not worth going to. On 7-13-2022 Kawehi wanted MORE records sent to their office (a referral was not good enough) and got rude when I tried to explain things to her. Kawehi just hung up the phone on me and after I was hung up on, I just cried. I guess this is what the world has turned into~~I really needed help and got rudeness in return.

Staff does not understand insurance, shows no empathy, doesn't accept responsibility for dropping the ball. Dr. Beall is great though. Unfortunately if you need anything done that requires his staff to complete PA or paperwork there will be issues due to incompetence.

On August 3, 2020, Dr. Douglas Beall performed outpatient surgery on my spine, He placed a Vertiflex Interlaminar Spacer between the 4th & 5th Vertebrae and performed a Cyst Ablation. I was having severe pain in my hips and legs and I could hardly walk. I am 72 years old, and I was afraid that I would end up in a wheel chair. After some spinal steroid injections, and previous cyst drainage, I had almost given up because I didn't want to go through the pain and long recovery from Decompression and Laminectomy. It has been 6 weeks since my surgery, and I have NO PAIN, either in my legs, hips, or back. It is like a MIRACLE. Dr. Beall is a compassionate, attentive physician who is very skillful and trustworthy. I wish I would have known about Dr. Beall before my Dad, who died at 97, had to live out his last 15 years in pain. I can't say enough to give him justice, but I thank God for him every day. I would also like to commend his staff and the Renaissance Hospital.

Everyone, from the receptionist to the nurses, in his office are amazing and caring and efficient. Dr. Beall is very aware of pain on the psyche and is up to date on research. He is professional and explains everything very clearly. He was firm, when I needed it. For ex. Stressing the importance of reducing the orals to get the best trial procedure results. We always knew, that he only wanted what was best for me and that was to give me some resemblance of life back. He did just that. ??

I had 4 epidurals last year with a pain management Dr. Finally, I was referred to Dr Beall. He did a different approach to injections and it was the only relief I had received. Very professional but yet personable!

I’ve been treated by Dr. Beall past 2-3 years for neck/back issues. Injections worked, but nothing good lasts forever. He’s always been honest and up front with me; last appointment yesterday he said he had done as much as he could - more injections would not resolve issues and referred me to a surgeon. He is very supportive and encouraging - will help you if he can, but there’s only so much one can do; staff Anna always very helpful, efficient, and called me back almost immediately. B.Fogleman

My mother recently had a stroke and has trouble rembering specifics. He treated her horribly because she could not remember what they had talked about at their last appointment. She was in tears as he told her that if she didn't care enough to remember what he tells her that he can't help her. He is a horrible person!
