Dr. Doris Hamawy, MD

I met Dr. Hamawy as a new patient and felt very comfortable. She took a lot of time understanding my history and reviewing. I feel I made the right decision as she seems caring and knowledgeable . So far so good!

Dr. Hamawy always takes time with me, discusses my overall health and has always solved the problem I went to the Doctor for. She is also personable and her staff has been great to me.

Over the last year or so the wait time has gone from 20 minutes to up to an hour. The excuse is the same each time, waiting on a room. If that’s the case change your appointment procedure as time is money. I don’t know how much the staff talks but two weeks after I visited the staff called me about refilling a med that I was taken off of because the pharmacy called, that doesn’t make me feel comfortable. I had to explain the situation to the staff member which I shouldn’t have too. I am going to move on because I can’t afford a 2 hour doctor visit with an actual 10 minutes with the practitioner. I don’t require a lot of time as I am pretty healthy but I should be there 2 hours either.

I have gone to Dr. Hamawy for a couple of years now after my former family Doctor did not take my insurance any longer. That turned out to be a blessing for me. Not only is she very knowledgeable and through but also takes the time to answer questions. During my visits I learned things about my health that I would have never known otherwise since my previous Doctor seemed like he was in a hurry to see the next patient. If your looking for a family Doctor I believe you will have the same experience that I have.

My visit with Dr. Hamawy's office was excellent. The staff was helpful and listened to my concerns. Dr. Hamawy was awesome! She took the time with me to understand my symptoms and in today's world a doctor does not spend more than 5 minutes with you.

Dr. Hamawy has been my primary doctor for more than 8 years and she is a wonderful doctor. She is really caring, she listens to you, overall I’m very satisfied with her and I would recommend her.

Dr Hamawy takes her time with and never rushes me out like so many other doctor's office have done to me. I love her staff and no matter when I call, there is always someone available to help me.

Dr. Hamawy was instrumental in identifying a heart condition that 2 of my other doctors didn't know.

She has ignored my family member. No way to reach her, or update the patient's condition. No phone, fax, email can get a response, call back. Dr. Hamawy should not even be called a doctor, she is Ms. UNAVAILABLE!. She had no hospital affiliation at the time we needed her, she never checked up on patient status, medications, conditions that were escalating. All her office minions lied to us repeatedly about her whereabouts, and her returning calls.

When I started at her practice, I was happy. However, I have recently changed providers and I have been requesting my records since December both from myself and my new physician. She is refusing to release the documents. Even had her staff call after hours and send me through circles for the 3rd party vendor to point right back at her that she has not allowed records to be released. SHe is playing with peoples health and it is a disgrace and unprofessional. To date, she has not released them.

I have a been a patient of Dr. Hamawy for many years. As a former USMC it was important to me that Dr. Hamawy is a retired Navy Doctor who worked her way through med school on her own dime and served her country with distinction. She is knowledgeable, thorough, caring, and kind. Her staff always seem happy and greet me with a smile every time I visit the office.

First time patient, Made me wait over an hour. Let others after me go before me. Told them we wwere leaving, couldn't find chart. Absolutely no apologies. Nor did they care.

Dr. Hamawy is the most amazing doctor you can ask for. She is really caring, she listens to you , she pays attention to what you tell her and all doctors should aim to be more like her. She is proud of her practice and her patients have been coming back for decades . I would recommend like I already have, to anyone looking for a MD in the area.

Wait time is too much. More than 45 min inspire having appointment.

Dr Hamawy literally changed my life - she is compassionate and attentive in every way - I feel very comfortable with her and her staff are the best I’ve ever experienced. Thanks for everything, Dr Hamawy.

Waited for an hour. Finally left without seeing the doctor. The doctor and staff obviously didn't think my time was a concern.

Love her! Been with her for 15 years and will continue! She is the most thorough, patience, caring doctor ever!!!
