Dr. Dora Ancaya, MD

I moved to area over 30 years ago and my previous doctor went into private practice. I was very concerned I was very comfortable and happy with her m. Her patients were turned over to Dr Ancaya and I expected I might need to research doctors. My first visit with Dr Ancaya, was essentially to get my meds refilled and I wasn't sure how I felt about her. My next visit I was very pleased with the preparation she had done of my file. Her willingness to explain things to me (I consider myself medically ignorant). As I have continued with her I am more and more confident in her reviewing my care. And most importantly very comfortable with her.

I have been seen by Dr Ancaya for 5 years. Other than they keep moving here office farther from my home I’ve had great care. She listens remembers previous advice and always asks if there is anything else I want to discuss. The wait time to see her once in the office is minimal. She also has used telemedicine to review a condition when I was traveling and could not get into the office

The way this lady talks down to you is horrible and I felt discouraged and

She is very easy to talk too and does a great job of following up issues. She has done a great job with referrals when I have needed any.

Excellent Dr and staff. I had a problem getting my c pap supplies Dr Dora sat down with staff member and got the problem fixed. She is a good listener with an awesome staff

I had seen Dr. Ancaya 2 times before and things went well, but the 3rd visit is like she snapped. I had an ear infection and she told me adults don’t get ear infections. She said she would not give me a referral for a stomach issue because Medicare doesn’t require referrals…problem is the dr’s office does. I called several weeks later to make an appt for another issue and I was told she can’t see me for 6 months..that she was booked that far in advance. Horrible experience! Run, don’t walk from this doctor!

Doctor could not be bothered to review my chart prior to visit. She stated she saw no on-going issues but a simple review would have told her that I absolutely did. She talked down to me like I was a child,( I am 40+) .After this visit I called her office and left a message to which I didn't receive a call back. This is not the level of care that patients should expect!

I feel blessed to have found Dr Ancaya and have been seeing her for over a year now. She is caring, knowledgeable and takes time to listen. I find her to be very caring and I have 100% faith in her care!
