Dr. Donna Woods, MD

Dr. Woods administrative staff said it was "Law" that a step parent cannot schedule an appointment, which is completely untrue in Illinois or any other state. I have managed my stepchild's mental health in several practices and it is not an issue. I was upset with the front desk, like a Seinfeld episode, they kept notes on the scheduling of an appointment and "escalated" to Dr. Woods, whom then declined to see the youth patient. I would not see this person or this practice, this is mental health, not an urgent care center, whom they hire are a direct reflection of whom they are.

She’s been my trusted doctor for years and listens to me and was the first to notice what other doctors had overlooked.

Not useful at all since she takes patients only after 1 year of hospitalization. Not sure how that would be useful to my daughter.

Dr Woods has been our son's psychiatrist for 5 years. She's great at working with parents ideas. She also thinks outside the typical "psychiatric box". Sometimes infectious organisms cause psychiatric symptoms (PANDAS). We saw it first hand with our son. She's accepting of different supplements as recommended by our integrative health Dr. Everytime we've paged her urgently, she calls back quickly!!! My husband and I are both in the medical field and really respect Dr Woods' opinion!
