I was told ' I don't just write presciptions'
I went to see Dr. Ko due to increase in pain with hardly any relief from the prescriptions that he had prescribed to me for a little over two years. I have had multiple injections from him such as nerve blockers ect. to relieve pain but with little success. Originally on oxycodone from injuries sustained he changed my meds up when I first started visiting him and reduced my oxy dosage over time which was fine due to me not wanting to be on it. At my last appointment he said he was writing the prescriptions out of a curtesy for me and that he doesn't just write prescriptions which is very contradicting. He then told me my orthopedic surgeon needs to deal with me instead even though I hadn't been sleeping more than an hour or two a night for the past couple months. At the end of my rope with Ko never ran a test on me or got information or communication with my other doctors. Treating me like an opioid addict when I'm just broken

Impressed with first visit
My first impression of Dr. Ko was good. I like the treatment plan at this point and I will be happy if future visits follow this pattern as I felt like he knew what he was talking about, agreed with his decisions and I felt like I was included in the decision making.

Saw Dr. Ko for over a year. It was not a good experience. Moved back to PA from AZ last year & I was on oxycodone which gave me Some pain Relief at the dose i was on. The first thing he did was decrease my meds by one third. After a few months he decreased them to half what I had been taking. I am in constant pain at a level 7 on this dose. He continually wants me to get injections. I got on e set from him with absolutely no pain relief. Ive told him over the years since Ive been diagnosed with degenerative bone disease Ive tried injections at least 20 times with no relief. Not to mention my insurance has large co pays for them. I’m a registered nurse & I have always been fully compliant with my meds. Never took more than I should, but he continued to treat me like aj drug seeker. Ive found another pain doc & i can only say good riddance Ko!

Dr. Ko is very professional and you can tell he really cares about his patients. Speaking as a retired Pharmacist I must say you can't teach compassion at Med. school, and Dr. Ko and the entire staff was very kind to me...and I appreciate that.

I've seen many doctors since I got sick a few years ago. My illnesses are invisible and cause me a lot of pain. I just turned 25 and almost every doctor I talk with about pain just assumes I'm faking for drugs. It got so bad that even the ER wouldn't treat me. Pain management was my last resort and I was so scared but never once did I feel judged. I'm not sure what I expected but Dr. Ko surpassed it. I wish I'd had more time with him but other than that, I am truly thankful.

I been patient of Dr Ko for years. Lately Dr Ko has seemed angry/annoyed with his job.Pain has been worsethe past few months. Repeated visits informing doctor of pain level increase resulting in a poorer quality of life.He has treated me like a pill junkie would not let me speak. I have always been medication compliant, been on same meds & doses for over 3 years. I am not asking for anything but help manage my pain better. He does not seem to care & just wants more $pushing expensive injections!

Dr. Ko is The most understanding and compassionate doctor I have ever had in referance to my injury and pain. Wait I'll take that back, He is the best Dr. I have ever had the pleasure of meeting, PERIOD. He takes the time to listen to me, askes how I am doing mentally as well as phsically. He is very understanding as far as I had lost my job and insurance. He did everything possible to give me samples and picked out the least expensive medicine possible. The ABSOLUTE BEST.
