Dr. Kim treated me for a bi-malleolar fracture in my ankle. He was able to see me the next day after my break, which was great. Was very abrasive and apathetic, just wanted to get in and out of surgery. (mind you, I was still a teenage athlete in shock) About a week after my surgery, I fell on my foot and it was in searing pain. Called him up and he didn't seem concerned. Saw him a week later and the ankle looked horrible. He said it might be infected but we should wait to see if its just swelling. Had my mom watch me for signs of infection. Didn't get a swab of the ankle until the following week, and a few days later turned out I had MRSA. Had to be rushed into emergency surgery. The infection was very deep, and I feel like more preemptive action beforehand could have saved my ankle. I had 6 surgeries within 3 months to get the MRSA out while my fracture set. I had to have plastic surgery (diff. dr) because the wounds were so large. Its been 1.5 years and I probably need more surgery
