Dr. Donald Tsynman, MD

Dr. Tsynman is an amazing dr! He has to perform an endoscopy and colonoscopy to get a look at what is going on inside your body. That’s what gastro doctors do, so expect that to happen before you get any answers. He is thorough, explains everything very well, listens, and answers any questions. He knows your chart when he walks into your room and I appreciate that! He goes through your entire results with you and explains your follow up plan. His entire office runs very efficiently. It’s a breath of fresh air to be in a doctor's office like that! You won’t be disappointed with this office. They have a patient for life!

Dr. Tsynman and his staff always treat me with kindness and efficiency when I am there. I truly am appreciative, and the roses are a perfect touch!

So thankful to Dr. Tsynman and his staff for the level of care they provided both times we were seen at there facility. Gastro East is an incredible team and there commitment to excellence is very apparent. We are forever grateful!

I was coming off a terrible experience with a gastroenterologist in New Bern, David Byrd, and Dr Tsynman was an amazing breath of fresh air. He was everything you could possibly hope for in a physician: kind, caring, good listener, excellent information...he even gives out roses after procedure! I am grateful to know there are wonderful doctors out there!

Excellent care! Very nice doc! Answered all my questions and fixed me and now I feel better. He was really listening and I appreciate that. Really cares about the patient and we need more doctors like this!!!!

First found my brother's cancer and then because I listened to him, found cancer in me and now I am cancer free. Other docs said it was just IBS. They didn't do anything! He listened to me when others didn't. I first saw the woman GI. She wasn't good and didn't listen. See him instead! Thank heavens I did!

No comment on the quality of care. The concern is that you may go broke. Dr. Tsynman used an anesthesiologist and pathologist that were outside of our insurance coverage, even though he is in network. We now face having to pay $10,000 in fees. Think twice.

Only he was able to solve my issues after years of running around. Took a look and found the cancer that was causing the problem for so long! Saved my life.

I made an appointment with Dr. Tsynman for follow up my two emergency room visits, regarding persistent pain under the right rib cage. I brought all blood tests result and sonogram and cat scan result. I told him all symptoms that I have. I do not think he listened, or maybe he is not competent. Anyway I left his office without receiving any explanation what can cause this pain and what has to be done to improve the situation. He scheduled two procedure in one day( colonoscopy & endoscopy). I cancelled it. I will never go back. Very disappointed

Doc was swift & thorough

Very unprofessional staff. Nurse took advantage of my being under ANESTHESIA and STOLE $$ from my purse. I was issued an AMEX card for the amount but that does not excuse or justify the act. It's human nature for us to trust medical professionals, it's a shame that the trust was taken advantage of.

Has helped me so much that words are not enough! Saved me when no one else could. Made me feel comfortable immediately. Thank you!

Just had my colonoscopy and endoscopy. What a wonderful experience! Who could imagine that you could feel so great, so safe, and so listened to at a doctors office. Staff was lovely and made me laugh! Thank you to Dr. T and all staff.

I went to him for an issue with my stomach where I had a problem eating any solid food. I had a perforated ulcer 2 years before and gastric bypass in 03. He recommended I do a colonoscopy and endoscopy on the same day. I was concerned but I did it. They sent me home shortly after I started feeling ill in the car going home by evening the pain was unbearable and I went to the emergency room. It turned out he had ripped through my stomach. Had I not gone to hospital I would have died. Stay away

Dr Tsynman is very deligent. He took his time and was very thorough. He explained the details in depth. I didn’t feel rushed. He took his time and he said a doctor that really care. I highly recommend him.
