I love my doctor!
I have been seeing Dr. Shaman for about 3 years. He is very comprehensive, caring, quick to make helpful suggestions, and offers appropriate medications. He is good about getting referrals handled quickly as well.He will see me virtually, in his office, and has even made house calls.

In March of 2020, while Dr. Sharman was myPCP I had incident of high systolic blood pressure. I had taken my blood pressure at the YMCA as I do three times a week when I exercise there. On this particular day my systolic BP was 198. My usual systolic BP is approximately 120 consistently. I went to the Harrison Hospital, Bremerton emergency room. I was put in a room and no one addressed the high blood pressure issue. They put a monitor on my finger. A social worker came into the room, I did not know why. I thought maybe it was standard procedure if you go into the emergency room. After looking at my discharge papers right on the front page it said "depression and suicidal ideation". I had been in the hospital in January with that admission. This time it was for high blood pressure. When released I was told to see Dr. Sharman immediately. I had two more appointments with dr. Sharman where he refused to address the high blood pressure incident. I was then expelled from his clinic.

My mother was a resident at Forest Ridge where Dr Sharman was the attending. This provider NEVER seen or evaluated my mom the 12 days that she was there. We called 911 and had my mom taken to the ER due to her declining health, yellow skin and bloated stomach. My mom was admitted to the ICU for 2 weeks before transferring to a medical floor. My mom passed a few weeks later. An investigation was opened and they found that my mom wasn’t the only one he hadn't seen or he was behind in seeing. The facility was fined and I was told he is no longer the attending at this facility. This doesn’t help the patients he neglected and the outcomes from negligence of this provider.

Waited for over a month for an appointment, staff wouldn't return calls, staff rude, Dr Sharman not good listener. Also not a good Dr to go to if you are disabled/handicapped, because even though you can't walk well, he suggests doing so anyway. Quick to assess bad things about you (lack of exercise, poor diet) but slow to suggest medication to help. Figures 99% of people don't need medication (all in their head).

I have no review because I left before I saw him. I read all the bad reviews here and scheduled an appointment anyway figuring people were just mean. Well, they are not mean, they are correct. I waited alone in a little room for over an hour before I walked out informing them I would find a new doctor.
