He has been my GI for over 7 years now and I trust him fully. He's always been helpful and answers my questions when I ask them. His nurses are wonderful and are helpful when I have general questions about my medication or with scheduling. He takes a little getting use to but he's always straight forward and tells me what I need to hear, which I am thankful for.

Friendly, thorough and professional
I saw Dr. Schoch for a screening colonoscopy. He was extremely thorough in explaining the procedure and the results. The UC Endoscopy team supporting him was highly professional, responsive and friendly.

Believe the bad reviews
I had 2 visits with this doctor about 4 years ago for abdominal pain and a possible pancreas problem. He pretty much told me it was in my head. Well I ended up getting pancreatitis that almost killed me and I spent 5 days in the hospital. Please believe the bad reviews and steer clear of him.

Worst doctor experience I’ve ever had. No support during prep when issues. Unsuccessful in performing procedure, but had to pay in full. Messages left not returned. At one point was transferred to customer relations & it just rang & rang, no answer, no voice mail option. Obviously they don’t care about their customers.

It took 2 weeks after leaving phone messages to schedule an appointment. I requested a copy of the procedure and what to do before my visit. After numerous phone calls I never received a call back or any response from his staff. I ended up canceling my appointment by leaving a voice message no one would answer my calls

He didnt treat my husband well, said that he had a disorder in his head, after doing an endoscopy. Went to a different doctor and it turned out to be acid reflux.. He was cured with an upped dosage of OTC acid reflux medication...Our new dr said, "I have no idea how he did not see it was this bad."

Please ignore the bad ratings this doctor has gotten. I saw him today and he was an absolute delight. He really knew his stuff, was personable, and set my mind at ease. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Schoch.

Dr. Schoch performed a colonscopy on me. I was worried about all the negative reviews that I saw. But, he was very nice to me. He took time to explain what he was going to do and what I would expect. He was very thorough and put me at ease.

Dr. Schoch has an excellent medical education, and a great staff, but does everything on his on terms. We, as the patient must not voice any personal concerns or complaints without being met with an argumentative response. Also, he is very judgmental upon the patients appearance. If you choose to see him, please dress as professionally as possible and speak as quickly as possible. Overall, he will provide decent "care" for your medical problems if you keep your mouth shut and follow his orders.
