I've been getting micro ablation from Dr Chipman on my lower back for some time now and he never lets me down. My back hasn't felt this good in over 25 years. I would highly recommend Dr Chipman.

Excellent Visit
The visit started on time, actually a little early, one of the PAs did a short interview and Dr Chipman came promptly and reviewed my pain issues with me. He did a thorough job of analyzing how my pain management was doing and made me very comfortable that it was under control and stable. I could not feel better about my visit or the care that I get from him and his staff.

Dr Chipman is an excellent pain management provide
I came in with a migraine that I'd had for three days. When Dr Chipman came in and I explained that I had taken a popular prescibed medicine that was giving little relief. The first thing he did was ask? if I needed the lights off. I did so he sat by the open door so he could take his notes. We discussed my neck and back pain. He was going to refer me for a MRI to see if surgery is needed and arranged for me to see him at the Surgery Center for injections. Then he asked if I felt that Trigger point shots would help in the meantime. Because of my migraine I told him I just wanted to go home because my head hurt so bad. He then offered an injection to help knock it out. By the time I got home I was feeling a little relief. This is why Dr Chipman is a, excellent doctor. That I recommend whenever I here someone who is looking for a pain management doctor.

DISAPPOINTED
On the 1 to 5 star scale, I give Dr. Chipman one star since there are no zeroes. I have had two bad experiences with him. Last year, I tried twice to get an injection to relieve severe back pain. He was not present either time. There was no Dr. Chipman, no injection, no relief. So, I changed doctors and got some temporary relief. I then asked my primary physician who he recommended. It was Dr. Chipman. Reluctantly, I called and got an appointment for April 6 at 1:45 PM. I went there exactly as scheduled only to be told by receptionist that I had no appointment. I showed her the email confirmation and was told that it was no good - that their computer had sent it without staff telling it to and even without staff knowledge. I swear, I am not making this up. Dr. Chipman may be a very capable doctor but it does little good if he doesn't show up for his appointments.

Horrible and in the Workers Comp carriers pocket!
I was dismissed by him early on in my workers comp case. He said I needed surgery but the next thing I know, he released me to MMI so he pretty much destroyed my workers comp case. He seemed very erratic and shook quite a bit. I would of been terrified with him doing a procedure on me anyway! Thanks for nothing! You were right about my diagnosis as my other doctors agree, but you dismissed me because a nurse case manager told you to. Hope the insurance company is worth your reputation. Horrible!!!!!!!!

Worst pain management dr.
If you’re looking for a doctor that will treat your symptoms with sarcasm and not follow-up with you, then I would highly suggest Dr. Donald Chipman. I saw him back in August and there has been no follow up with me, my request for refills have been ignored and my initial visit was rushed. After serving in the military for 23 years and being treated with Motrin, because your afraid to be med boarded, retirement should give you the chance to finally have a specialist (pain) help you with all the damage you did to your body all those years.

I’ve never written a negative review before but felt the need to do so, now. During my visit with Dr. Chipman, I felt dismissed and disrespected as he jumped to so many erroneous conclusions about me and my medical issues that I left scratching my head! I felt he was talking about someone other than me so I was not able to have a satisfactory visit. I won’t be going back.

All of Dr Chipman’s staff , nurses and even surgery center are a step above the norm these days, I have had nerve ablation - steroid shots, and I feel he helped me the most my last procedure, I had had knee arthroscopy , and then was in accident and felt I had trouble walking as it was the worst I have been. I could’ve kissed him! Going on three weeks and still walking well so well some days I don’t need my cane! Kudos to Nurses Torey and Abby as well. Also Dr Laundry listens to concerns and has good communication with Dr Chipman! Dr Chipman really has the patients needs in mind and covered with up to date procedures and works to keep those with chronic conditions,As pain free as possible so we can have someone in our corner going to bat for us!!! I do not know how I keep on keeping on but I do. Dermatology diagnosed me with granuloma annular which also affect my joints!

It is afternoon on Friday. Just got a call from his office. Apparently my pee test came back with morphene and codeine in it and I was told my appt was cancelled. He would not see me again. I asked to do another pee test, but they can't do that. I spoke with my pharmacy and was told there is neither of these in any of my medications. I was flabberghasted. It is ironic it was a friday afternoon 12 years ago when white wilson called to tell me I had cancer. I take a pain med 3 times per day. Have servere stenosis in spine and great pain. In the past ten days I have had trigger point injections, a cervical nerve burn and an ollyptical steroid shot in head. I think he didn't know what to do with me. Very disappointed in this man. By the way no one ever calls you to see if you area doing ok after one of these procedures either. I don't understand this but I will get to the bottom of this. I do not take either of these drugs and the fact that they would not retest makes me ve

Very unpleasant person that smelled like a homeless drunk. The alcohol fumes rolling off him was probably at least part of why his attitude is so poor. He never examined me, although his notes say he did a full physical exam. He sat with his back to me on his computer and only told me what he wasn't going to do for me. The front desk staff was incredibly rude to me and all the other patients present that day. I spent months laying on the floor until I finally found a real doctor.

He seemed to be preoccupied with the need to practice his drumming during the appointments by continually beating on either his chair or his knees. I found this to be not only distracting during our session, but rather unnerving as I prepared to have injections by this doctor for my back pain!

Simply put..Dr. Chipman is the best. If it weren't for him I would still be walking around with chronic pain. Instead, he set me up with Boston Scientific who implanted a neuro stimulation system that interrupts the signal between the source of the pain and the brain.
