I went to Dr.Shumway because of a painful bump on a big toe.While I was there I asked him if he knew anything about neuropathy.After talking to him about the pain he ordered a new test done.When the results came back he explained nerve decompression surgery.I had it done on the right leg.The horrible pain was immediately gone.The only pain I had was from the incisions from the surgery.Four week later I had the left leg done.I am currently recuperating from that surgery.
For 2 years I visited 3 doctors for this condition and all I got was pain pills.I thank God that I went to Dr.Shumway.He is a very caring doctor with a great beside manner.

My visit to Dr Shumway for ingrown nails on both of my big toes was a pleasant less painful experience than expected surprise to me. The only pain was when he injected the pain killer into my toes (not much). Before the procedure he was very clear on options and how he would do each according to my choosing. All in all I would recommend him to anyone needing help with their feet,

He is very informative and explains everything plainly and thoroughly. I came into his office with a lot of pain and 30 minutes later left pain free!

Excellent and helpful. Explains and listens very well. We never felt rushed. He also admits when he doesn't know something (a rarity in the doctor ranks) but also appears to keep his education going and is knowledgeable on current research and studies--in other words, he doesn't just rely on stuff he learned in medical school 25 years ago! Would fully recommend.

Fantastic Dr. He listens intently, bed side manner top notch. Knows his stuff, gives you all your options, tells you what less evasive measures you could take and not afraid to do what's necessary to fix your foot. Top notch Dr

Dr. Shumway was awesome. He was very knowledgeable, informative, & professional but most importantly he was a really honest good dude. I would totally recommend seeing him if you have any foot problems like I do.
