Dr. Mastruserio review
I recently visited Dr. Neal Mastruserio for a follow-up exam concerning treatment he provided for a skin condition. I have found the doctor to be an EXCELLENT physician. Dr Mastruserio has been very caring, thoughtful and thorough in addressing my issue, which has been resolved. I have recommended him to several of my friends and based upon their visits, they told me they have the same opinion.

Dr Mastruserio and staff are very helpful
I have seen Dr Mastruserio every six months for years. I spend a lot of time in the sun and Dr and staff have monitored me closely and have immediately taken care of any issues. I highly recommend Dr Mastruserio and his Very Professional Practice

I liked Dr. Mastruserio a lot, and I also liked his nurses. But this practice clearly doesn't care as much for their patients as they care for the almighty dollar. I had a past due balance of $60 with them for over one year. Times are tough, and the $60 I owed was from a bill that I had been chipping away at piecemeal. Well, when I went to schedule an appointment with them today in order to renew my prescriptions, the office assistant told me that they terminated my account due to nonpayment. I have had other doctor's offices insist upon payment before seeing me again, but I have NEVER been "terminated" from an office before -- and certainly not for $60.00. I am saddened and disappointed in this practice.

I was a long standing patient for yearly skin check ups and most recently tattoo removal. I had spent over $2000 out of pocket on treatments over the past year. When I politely, and matter of factly questioned something on my bill, I was dismissed from the practice and the business manager claimed the reason as "the trust has been broken". So, I guess if you choose this practice, don't ever question your bill! I will say, the nurse practitioner there is excellent and very professional.

While I think Dr mastuserio is probably a very good doctor his nurses kept me from getting answers directly from him. Their responses to my questions were off the cuff and not appropriate for my condition. Perhaps if they had allowed me to speak with him I would give a different review.

I’ve been a patient for many years and satisfied with Dr. Mastruserio until recently. I was shown in to a treatment room and told to undress down to my under pants. I sat in a cold room for more than half an hour. When the doctor arrived, I said I was cold and had been waiting more than half an hour. He said he didn’t like my attitude. He delivered a tirade of personal insults, said I was inconsiderate of others, selfish and concerned only for myself. I left without receiving my exam.

I like Dr. Mastruserio very much. I have had to wait a long time on a couple occasions but it was worth it. He is very thorough and knowledgeable plus extremely pleasant. I have no no problems with receptionists or assistants. They have all been great to me.

Had a lipoma removed from my right forearm by this guy. He cut a huge chunk of flesh out of my arm. Way more than necessary! His nurse took me into the room where I was to be operated on, and stabbed the lipoma location approximately 15 times with the lidocaine syringe. After he cut the lipoma out (along with all of the additional flesh) he stated "whoops I floundered that". Very unprofessional. Would not recommend this dermatologist to anyone.

Dr Mastruserio is a very nice thorough Doctor. However his receptionist is rude. Make sure you cancel an appointment 24 hours before its scheduled and if it's on the weekend don't listen to the audio recording that says to call back during normal business hours, instead wait through the whole recording to leave a message. At least that is what I was told very rudely when I was told I would be charged and I asked about it being a weekend and they weren't open 24 hours before. She was very rude.

The usual wait time, including in the office and the exam room, is almost always over 45 minutes. Dr. Mastrusario takes time to explain things but over schedules so much that there is always a lengthy wait. This is made worse by the fact that the waiting room is uncomfortable. What usually happens with these long delays is the receptionist offers to reschedule. The problem is, I don't make an appointment so that I can reschedule. I now go to a different dermatologist.

My daughter had two bothersome and relatively big warts on her feet, coupled with mollescum. Dr. Mastruserio was simply amazing while he treated the issues. He made a good connection with her and explained the procedure in a way an 11 year old could understand.
