Dr. Dolores Santamaria, MD

I have seen Dr Santamaria for 7 years. She is amazing and has helped me so much. Such a big supporter and overall a wonderful person. Forever grateful for her and her staff.

My cousin goes to this Neurologist for help with headaches due to her brain condition. Today she comes back from the appointment in tears. She was asked her political views by the neurologist during the exam. The Neurologist had different views and felt the need to chastise and berate her. That's not ok ever! It's unprofessional and detracts from the care needed!

I've met with Dr. Santamaria twice now and she is one of the most compassionate people I've met. My migraines and nerve pain are now better controlled than they have been in 20 years that I've had them. I would highly recommend her to anyone.

Dr Santamaria prescribed lorazapam but when I became addicted she wouldn't manage me to help me get off. She put me out on the streets. I had to go into detox. She wanted me to go into a psych ward. Stay away. I had migraines. She will put you on all kinds of medication. She will poison you.

I have rarely been more frustrated with a practitioner in my life! She has a set protocol which she simply will not adjust. I found her to be arrogant and unwavering, even when she is wrong. Avoid, avoid! If you don't have a headache when you go to her, you will after you leave...

Tracy Robinson who works in the Pittsburgh office is very disrespectful and rude. Not sure how she is with other patients or even staff members, but the way she spoke to me as she was slamming things around on her desk was not professional at all.

Dr. Santamaria is now in Pittsburgh! She is an incredible headache specialist! She actually listens to what you have to say about what is going on with your migraines. She cares about her patients. Dr. Santamaria knows her stuff when it comes to treating migraines. I trust her completely! She is by far THE best headache specialist in Pittsburgh! I highly recommend her to anyone who needs a doc to treat their migraines.

I was sent to this doctor for migraines, I was told I was going to get some type of injections, they lasted one day. I was in horrible pain, and I got no relief at all. I believe she is trying to make money off of sick people. She told me she has the same protocol she uses for every person. Everyone is different. She’s terrible, her front office staff is a disgrace. I would not send anyone to her. Very unprofessional. Thankfully I found a UPMC doctor who is successfully helping my migraines.
