I had a very similar experience as another reviewer/patient. The Dr spent my entire visit on the computer and when there was barely any time left, she wasn't hearing my concerns, she decided to jump on a detail that wasn't relevant to the conversation. She displayed no interest in the serious issues I'm dealing with and I'll never go back.

Great dr!
My experience was wonderful! She took care of my painful knee carefully and with one shot eliminated my pain after the orthopedist just gave up on me. Then she explained my cardiac issues in a way that was clear and kind. I really appreciate her not talking down to me and using correct terminology. She’s 10 stars in my book.

Do not recommend
I saw Dr. Gilchrist today. I was not able to see my primary care and was assigned Dr. Gilchrist instead. She was 45 minutes late to our appointment, which I was not particularly bothered about. However, she came in the exam room and seemed to be mocking my condition. I tried to brush it off, but as the appointment continued it was apparent she was a very rude lady. I don’t believe she asked me a single question about my symptoms. However, she made several assumptions about what I wanted out of the visit based on reading my chart notes. She really disregarded everything I told her.I left feeling upset by the lack of care and level of rudeness. I came online to check her reviews, I suppose to just to see if I was being overly sensitive or if other had felt the same way. It appears, many others have been treated poorly by this provider. I absolutely adore all of my other Peacehealth providers. It is unfortunate that she is part of their practice.

Lack of patient care
Dr. Gilchrist gave me minimal time, rushed around and would not answer my questions. In addition, Dr. Gilchrist spoke very quickly and used all medical terminology.

Best wellness exam in years.
Dr. Gilchrist was very through and informative. She looked at me as a complete person examining all the notes from all of my doctors and putting it together as a whole. I liked her manner and how she spoke to me. I would recommend Dr Gilchrist to anyone looking for a no nonsense compassionate physician.

The Worst Doctor Ever
There should be a ZERO rating. Did not listen to my 78 YO almost deaf mom (her ongoing patient) or myself. Assumed medical issues without asking or listening. Would NOT answer questions, explain anything, rolled her eyes, put her patient down, was rude and dismissive. And she knew it. Prescribed meds and treatment that we didn't even go over and was elusive about any questions I asked. Sat me down, grabbed my hand and told me I am enough multiple times. Where she got the idea that I thought that is beyond me. I have never been treated so horribly, or been so disrespected by a doctor, and I use that term VERY loosely. I am a very calm and understanding person. It takes a lot to get me angry, and she tested the very core of me. She CLEARLY had no interest in taking care of the patient. Said we could find another doctor, she's been around forever, and she is still here! I am still in shock over the treatment she gave to both myself and my mom. We ARE in the process of finding new Dr.

Be Aware
If there were minus score she would be at least a -50. Having been diagnosed with a rare incurable disease last week and this week with possible cancer, when she saw me she was angry, completely lacking in compassion and the worst doctor I have ever had the misfortune of seeing. Please for your own sake be aware

Went in due to an injury occurred a week before and hadn’t got better. When Dr Gilchrist came in she was rude condescending scolded me for coming in a week later then asked “what do you want me to do?” Second time I’ve had this type of interaction, it won’t happen again. Don’t waste your time with her, absolutely disappointed - ended up in the ER had to pay more money. But why should she care.

I saw this woman once and I hope to never see her again. she was rude and had no time to listen at all. I hope I never see her again. not a happy person.. have no idea why or what but if you are considering her as a primary care I would advice you against it.

The worst doctor I’ve ever been to. She made me feel like I was nothing but an inconvenience. Went in for my left knee and once I finally got a referral to my surgeon she had said it was for my right hand. Hope to never have to see her again!

I went to Dr Gilchrist because of the skin around my ear was red and started to spread. Dr Gilchrist took a ver bread look and diagnosed me with an ear infection. She prescribed amoxacilan and sent me home. Later that evening the hot redness started to spread toward my eye. I went to urgent care, as it was after hours and they took one look and said for me to go to the closest ER. After I get in at the ER they diagnosed me with cellulitis and prescribed augmitten and another strong antibiotic. They said if I had let it go that the cellulitis would spread to my jaw bone and brain and it would have killed me! I then fired Dr Gilchrist for miss diagnosing me. She needs more training and needs to take the time to listen to her patients. She always rushes through the office visits and doesn't allow her patients the opportunity to explain in depth why they are there in the first place. I would never reccomend Dr Doherty Gilchrist to anyone.

Dr. Larson seems like a good guy and that he personally cares maybe a little old school but a good guy unfortunately he seems to be controlled by an assistant with poor judgment lack of people skills and lack of compassion . His assistant Jean and front office is beyond rude, opinionated and out right disrespectful. I am beyond words on how I felt treated and handled. I was prescribed a nerve medication and pain medication for neck issues I am and have been dealing with for years by Dr. Larson.

I'm writing this on behalf of my Mother. My Mother was in extreme pain and called the office to make an appointment/ prescribtion or advice and the nurse told her that the Dr had no additional treatment for her until after she was seen by a specialist. My Mom had to wait 2 months to see the specialist and when she did the Dr prescribed her medications because she had an infection that could have been treated by Dr Gilchrist. She has a new Dr.

I have never been treated so poorly.... depending on how quick your insurance pays her off will reflect on how you get treated. The office and the Dr. can't keep up with each others lies... they also take forever to respond to pharmacy refills ... the nurse will hang up on you..no one has any phone skills or bedside manner. treated like cattle if you're lucky.
