Everything you'd look for in an excellent doctor.
Dr. Pokharel has treated me since my initial diagnosis. I have never felt rushed during appointments, and he is very good at thoroughly explaining everything at a level that is easily understood. Dr. Pokharel allows me to learn, research and make decisions about my own care. He also respectfully offers simple advice that allows me to easily improve my own health. I am so very grateful to have such a knowledgeable and talented cardiologist.

Empathy > Sympathy
Dr. Pokharel is a bright light in a run down and overwhelmed system. He shows me true empathy versus a sympathetic attitude. He always leaves me in better shape than he found me. And that's important.

It would be difficult to find a better doctor. My wife and I are in our 90's. We have lived in various parts of the United States and in Japan.. We have had experience with a large number of physicians. Dr. Pokharel stands at the head of our list. He is competent. He is kind and friendly. He takes a personal interest in his patients. He listens carefully to patients, and treats them with respect. He is everything one would wish for in a physician, and more.

Dr. Pokharel has been my mother's doctor for almost five years. There are many things my mother and I appreciate about him. Dr. Pokharel is an excellent listener. He takes the time to understand our concerns and respond to all of our questions. We have complete confidence in his knowledge and skills. We're especially grateful for Dr. Pokharel’s friendly and kind manner. He really does care about his patients. We highly recommend Dr. Pokharel to anyone in need of a cardiologist.

Dr. Pokharel is an excellent, caring doctor. He has been my doctor for about five years. He is very attentive about keeping a close eye on my heart health. He recently referred me to have a TAVR procedure which went very well. I feel very confident that I am receiving the best of care. He has been a good listener and takes time to answer my questions and explain things to me.
